It's been a whirlwind year, and not in the best sense I'm sure you'll all agree. My littlest started school this September and after a drawn out settling-in month, he made it only three days before a confirmed Covid-19 case sent him home for two weeks. My heart goes out to the unwell family and pray for their speedy recovery, but to also every family who has to keep adapting to a constantly-changing new normal. Juggling work with homeschooling is never going to be easy but the adjustments these little people have to keep making has got to be even harder. I'm so proud of my boys and how they're coping but they do push against change so I'm finding it important to remember to be patient and to look at the world through their eyes. When I created this image that's exactly what I had in mind and I hope it acts as a little reminder for you and your children, too. If you do want to learn techniques like this, be sure to pick up the latest issue of Digital SLR Photography Magazine on sale Tuesday 6 October or subscribe as I'll be sharing how. https://raspberrypipress.imbmsubscriptions.com/digital-slr-photography/ (Source Image NASA/ GSFC/ NOAA/ USGS)

It was the last day of Life in Lockdown photo shoots and I've seen it all this month...superhero costumes, Roman gladiators, swimsuits, bare-footed beauties and carefully-coordinated outfits. Dogs, cats – even guinea pigs – joined in for the landmark family portraits!

It's been amazing and tiring but after 37 families, six days of shoots and a wonderful £442.50 raised for Buckden CE Primary it's definitely been the most fun I've had behind the camera in a while. It's also been a great crash-course in capturing strict social distancing portraits, which I expect will be the standard for quite some time.

THANK YOU everyone who booked a Life in Lockdown photo shoot and who donated, It has been such a pleasure meeting so many new and familiar families in our community and really gave me the sense that we are all in this together...and doing brilliantly under the circumstances.

As restrictions are relaxed even further from tomorrow, I hope everyone is extra careful and stays safe. See you again soon x

Sundays are for some PJ-day photography after a busy week of homeschool and work. I couldn't be prouder of these two and how they're handling such dramatic changes to their little lives. 'Love you to the moon and back, twice' in the words of my 3-year-old. You're spectacular and bring joy into our lives everyday
