Today was such a lovely day in the studio, and I can’t wait to share more from this gorgeous newborn session. Here’s a little sneak peek. 🤍

One thing people often don’t realise especially if they’ve never had a newborn photoshoot before is what actually goes into the experience. That’s why I make sure every family is fully prepared before they arrive. Knowing what to expect helps everyone relax and enjoy the session.

Today, Dad said something that really made me smile. He admitted he hadn’t expected the experience to be anything like it was, and he said it was worth every penny. He loved seeing the posing process, understanding how everything is done safely, and watching the images come together.

It’s so often Mum who books the newborn session while Dad is simply told where to be and when! But time and time again, I see dads leave genuinely amazed by the experience. They love being involved and seeing that creating these beautiful images is so much more than just pressing a button on a camera. It takes patience, skill, safety, and lots of love.

I really appreciated Dad’s honesty today, and it was such a pleasure meeting this wonderful family. Thank you for trusting me with these precious memories. 💕

THE FROGGY POSE… 🐸💚

This little one nearly decided the Froggy pose wasn’t happening! His tiny feet just didn’t want to come forward, and that’s the finishing touch that makes this beautiful pose complete.

The Froggy pose is an advanced newborn pose that should only ever be attempted by a trained and experienced newborn photographer, with baby safety as the absolute priority. It’s a pose many photographers choose not to offer, and that’s completely understandable. Thanks to my specialist newborn training and experience, I’m able to safely create this pose for families who love it.

When choosing your newborn photographer, ask yourself: are you booking based on price, or are you investing in experience, training, and your baby’s safety?

Freelance Client & Marketing Assistant (Remote)

I’m looking for an experienced, proactive Freelance Client & Marketing Assistant to support my established photography business.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys taking ownership of their work, and doesn’t need to be micromanaged. I’m looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, identify opportunities, and take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Responsibilities

* Respond promptly to enquiries across Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms.
* Answer client phone calls and provide excellent customer service.
* Manage bookings and appointments.
* Follow up with enquiries to maximise conversions.
* Plan and implement marketing activities to maintain a steady flow of enquiries.
* Suggest and implement new marketing ideas and strategies.
* Help manage the day-to-day client journey from initial enquiry through to booking.

About You

You’ll be:

* Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload.
* Confident making decisions and using your own initiative.
* Experienced in social media marketing and client communication.
* Friendly, professional and highly organised.
* Someone who enjoys identifying opportunities and bringing ideas to the table rather than waiting for instructions.
* Passionate about delivering an excellent client experience.

Experience within the photography, wedding or events industry would be an advantage but isn’t essential.

Hours & Pay

* Freelance/self-employed basis.
* Starting with approximately 2–5 flexible hours per week, with scope for additional hours if required.
* Hourly rate dependent on experience, with performance bonuses available.

This isn’t a role for someone who simply follows a checklist. I’m looking for someone who can become a trusted part of the business, take ownership of their responsibilities, and proactively contribute ideas that enhance both the client experience and our marketing.

But what does a newborn experience at WhiteBeam Photography Studio actually look like?

If you’re expecting, the first thing I like to do is have a chat over the phone. Choosing a newborn photographer can feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first baby, so I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I offer a range of session options, and together we’ll decide which experience is the best fit for you. I’ll then send you my brochure and a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family. From there, we’ll carefully plan your session and reserve the ideal date to photograph your baby safely during those precious early days.

Preparation is everything, so you’ll also receive my complimentary newborn preparation guide, packed with tips to help your session run as smoothly as possible.

With 18 years of experience photographing newborns, your baby’s safety is always my highest priority. I’m fully trained in newborn posing and can achieve even the more advanced poses safely when your baby is comfortable and settled poses that many photographers choose not to offer.

Today’s little guy was almost 3 months old proof that experience makes all the difference.

Being an experienced newborn photographer means understanding how to work safely with every baby who comes through the door. Every baby is different, and knowing how to read them, support them, and pose them safely comes with specialist training and years of experience.

This handsome boy didn’t just achieve this pose he also managed one of the most advanced newborn poses, the Froggy Pose. It’s a pose that many photographers won’t attempt because it requires the correct training, safe compositing techniques, and a baby who is comfortable and settled. Safety is always the priority.

Many photographers choose not to photograph babies older than two weeks, but with the right experience, patience, and a baby-led approach, beautiful newborn style images are still possible beyond those early days.
