I’ll always remember Abigail’s newborn photoshoot, so seeing her again one year later to celebrate her first birthday was just so lovely.

She’s changed so much!!

This photo sums up exactly what I love about my job. 💙

For every cake smash session, I send out a preparation guide because turning one is overwhelming enough without suddenly being presented with a giant cake! New textures, new surroundings, and lots of attention can be a lot for little ones, and over the years I've learned plenty of tricks to help sessions run smoothly.

Yesterday's birthday boy had other ideas though – he doesn't eat in unfamiliar places, so the cake wasn't happening at first! But Mum had booked his cake smash when she was still pregnant, and there was no way we were letting that stop us.

We still brought the cake out and gave it a go, but when it became clear he wasn't interested, we simply followed his lead instead. By adapting the session around him, we captured some gorgeous, natural photos full of personality. Watching him grow throughout his first year and being trusted to document these special milestones has been such a privilege. ✨

There is something so special about welcoming a new baby into the world. 💛

It's one of those rare moments in life when everyone who means the most to you comes together. Grandparents, parents, siblings, family and friends all gathering around the newest little member of the family.

Looking through today's newborn session reminded me that these photographs aren't just about capturing a tiny baby. They're about capturing this chapter of your story the people who couldn't wait to meet them, the arms that hold them, and the love that surrounds them from day one.

These early days pass so quickly, but the memories of who was there and how much they were loved will last forever. ✨

Nova ⭐️

We’ve had the best day ever in the studio with beautiful Nova and her lovely parents today.

She’s nearly 2 months old already, Mum and Dad could see just how quickly their little girl was changing, so they got in touch to book a photoshoot before these precious early weeks slipped by.

Nova was an absolute angel from start to finish and happily posed for every setup we had planned. It was such a joy to capture these memories for her family.

When your client arrives dreading the session, feeling uncomfortable and wanting to cover up as much as possible… and by the end, she’s confidently embracing her pregnancy, even choosing to pose beautifully with nothing but her bump on show. ✨

I received a message straight after saying how much she had enjoyed the session, and that’s exactly why I love maternity photography.

Watching someone go from feeling self-conscious to completely owning this incredible chapter of their life is so rewarding.

Look who’s jus been in the studio today for her very first birthday photoshoot! 🎂

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing Keeva throughout her entire first year – from her newborn session, to her sitter photos, Christmas memories, Mother’s Day portraits, and now her cake smash session.

Mummy and Daddy have truly made the most of capturing every milestone, and it has been so special watching her grow. Those early baby days pass by so quickly, and these photographs become treasures you’ll look back on for years to come.

Today was less of a cake smash and more of a cake scrape 😂. Keeva was so gentle with her cake, carefully gliding her tiny fingers through the icing while happily sucking her fingers and wiggling her little hips. It was adorable to watch!

These are the moments you’ll cherish forever. What a lucky little lady she is. 💕

I had the pleasure of welcoming beautiful little Arabella into the studio! 💕

Mum and Dad first came to see me for their maternity session and loved the experience so much that they booked their newborn session on the day.

She was an absolute dream from start to finish, spending 3 hours working her way through lots of different props, outfits, and family photographs. She completely smashed every setup and loved being posed by me! 🥰

I honestly can't wait for Mum and Dad to see their gallery. Here's a little sneak peek... ✨
