What an evening this was to wrap up the badger project I've been watching for the past few years at a few different locations. Great to be back out with the camera, after what has felt like lifetime due to other commitments. I wanted to try something different last night, by getting a backlit image which proved difficult. I did manage to capture these images before the badgers headed back to there home for the night.

A few from many images taken from a event last Friday. This was a first for me doing this type of photography and shooting in very different lighting to the norm, resulting in the iso being cranked up, giving the new camera a good test. I'm really happy with how they turned out to say this is a first attempt at this type of photography. It was a great night and awesome atmosphere and more importantly having a night out with the cameras with a good mate. So thanks Josh for inviting me along.

Aperture: f.2.8
Iso 20,000

A follow on from last nights post, after a nice kip the 4.30am alarm got us up and out of bed to head out for the sun rise. Luckily it was only a short walk from where we were parked, so kettle was on and we set off on a rather chilly wander up to the top, but the views were well worth the early start 😃

Last weekend me and little miss ventured up to the peak district as she wanted to see the sunset, wasn't looking very promising with the cloud cover as we were walking up but if all else failed its a night away in the van. The peaks didn't disappoint, the clouds rapidly cleared and we managed to see the sun setting over Ladybower res 😃

After stumbling upon a kingfisher on a recent trip out, I had a vision in my mind off a image I wanted to capture. After making the sign with what was available to me and wading into the lake to find a likely spot it would land and fish, i sat and waited. Approximately 20 minutes later i had already managed to capture the picture i had envisioned. As the rained started to pour i was able to get some different images which i thought would add a little more interest and detail.
