The first dragonfly in our garden pond this year.

I've not posted for a while having lost interest in Facebook and it's algorithm only showing my posts to around 5% of my followers.

I haven't stopped photographing wildlife though, and I've still been getting out with the camera on the odd occasion. Hopefully I'll be sharing more images here again over the coming weeks.

Lots more nesting material brought in over the last two days. So much so it's above the female blue t**s head. I wonder if this might be her first nest. With instinct making her do her little dance to compress and shape the nest but she hasn't realised she needs to be on top of the nest.

Lots more nest building today. She seems to be pushing all the moss and feathers to the front of the nest box.

One of the blue t**s slept in the nest box last night. I would guess it's the female as they build the nest whilst the male guards the territory.

Not much activity yesterday (day 2) in the nest box, a few visits but no nest building. Today however lots more activity with mostly moss being brought into the nest box.

It looks like the blue t**s have chosen our nest box. The first collection of nesting material is brought in at the end of this clip. Its three years since the blue t**s last chose our nesting box. Unfortunately the chicks only lasted 3 days as the female failed to return and to keep the chicks warm over night. Fingers crossed this time.
