Sadly I seem to have missed the best of the autumn colours this year, here are four of my favourite images from todays outing.

The first is a beautiful walk at Golden hill fort country park in Norton green.

The second and third shots being from Brighstone forest.

Finally the junction between Brook, Hulverstone and Chessel; all on the Isle of Wight.

I have taken out some of the distracting signposts that litter these naturally beautiful places as I feel the images are better without them, please click on each one to view the full image.

Abi and Ronney at Appley beach 11/09/25 edited in black and white using Adobe Lightroom.
Taking away the colour has highlighted all the textures of the water in the sand and shingle, losing the distractions and adding more atmosphere to each shot.

Taken on my Sony A7ii 24-70mm 2.8.

Black and white reflection images of Abi taken at Shide cycle path, Isle of Wight on 11/09/25. I never used to like B/W photographs and it has taken me a long time to come to love them but it is very effective for rain and puddle shots.

The beautiful wisteria draped over the wall at Mottistone manor was the main inspiration for this shot, the thick purple flowers give this photo a wonderful burst of colour.
