FANAD LIGHTHOUSE....

In January this year I headed over to Ireland (Northern & The Republic!) to do a recce for running a possible landscape photography workshop out there, keep an eye out for details of the workshop.

A good explore around the coast from Belfast, around the Causeway coast all the way to Donegal, it was a nice if brief trek around.

Near one of the locations we stayed in I'd found this fantastic spot - Fanad Lighthouse and was looking forward to photographing it from a few angles, but unfortunately for some reason the lighthouse had closed well before closing time and was all locked up so shooting spots were limited. Still a great location and a great bit of cloud movement here!

RED SQUIRRELS WORKSHOPS - North Yorkshire Friday October 25th.
Why not start your weekend early and come and join me for this fantastic workshop photographing numerous red squirrels deep in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside, from the comfort of two purpose built hides.

Meeting early am on Friday October 25th, we'll then make our way to the hide location and get started as quickly as we can to make the most of the time we have there.

We will photograph the squirrels jumping, in various natural locations and from a reflection pool.

​I will be on hand to give as much or as little tuition as you require for photographing these beautiful animals and a host of birds, if we're lucky that could include a woodpecker and nuthatches too.

This is a self-drive workshop, however, if space allows in my vehicle I will be happy to car share.

What the hell is wrong with people.
I can’t even begin to imagine why anyone would want to do this nevermind actually carry it out. What a crazy world we live in.

My first thought is that there’s one amazing way to replace the tree - that would be have the amazing Two red rubber things/Ray Lonsdale to create a sculpture to replace the icon! He’d do an amazing job and the icon would be restored in some form.

ONE of the most iconic trees in the UK has come down overnight, with authorities believing it's been deliberately felled.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I've been extremely busy with wedding editing, family stuff and actually having a very short break, but it's time to get back to it now!!

This shot is one of my favourites from my Isle of Skye tour back in November. Despite some awful weather, a couple of us made the long drive along to Neist Point and we were rewarded with some lovely light, a decent sunset and some great crashing waves, just after sunset the rain set in as we made the long trek back up the cliffside, but well worth it and always a different shot to be had from this great location! Currently looking to book in dates for 2023 & 2024 for this one as well as so many others!

Sunrise Afterglow...

On the return from my trip to the Isle of Skye in November, we made a stop off at Corpach to shoot the well-known shipwreck there. As the sunrise had already come through the sun was really bright up behind the ship, but shooting in the other direction wasn't really possible, so I decided to create this 5 image HDR, which I'm really happy with how it turned out.
