https://ko-fi.com/photographypassionjt My name is Justyna, and photography is my passion. I have been involved in professional photography for many years, gaining experience that I continually develop. Photography is my way of telling stories and showing the world as I feel it and see it. I most often photograph architecture, landscapes, and nature. Documentary photography hold

s a special place in my work, often created on a voluntary basis. By capturing significant moments for local communities, I firmly believe that photography has the power to preserve memories, foster connections, and fortify a shared sense of identity. Whenever I have the opportunity, I capture photographs, even in ordinary, everyday situations. Often, the most interesting moments lie within them, even though they can be the most challenging to notice. The camera is only a tool — I always take photographs with my heart.

There are days when most people look out of the window and see nothing but rain. As a landscape photographer, I see something entirely different. Late spring across Dunstable Downs has been putting on an extraordinary display of weather and light. Passing showers, dramatic storm clouds, distant curtains of rain, and sudden bursts of sunshine create unplanned scenes. You can only observe, anticipate, and, with some luck, capture them at exactly the right moment.

The towering cloud formations drift across the landscape while shafts of sunlight break through gaps in the sky, illuminating individual fields and valleys. In the distance, rain sweeps across the horizon, adding depth, atmosphere, and drama to the scene.

Perhaps we do not fully appreciate rain because we experience so much of it in Britain. Yet it is often these unsettled conditions that create the most memorable landscapes. Rain enriches colours, enhances contrast, and turns ordinary views into something remarkable.

British weather may be unpredictable, but that unpredictability is precisely what makes landscape photography so rewarding. Occasionally all it takes is a pause, a view across the horizon, and a willingness to watch nature tell its story.

June has a special way of transforming the countryside. Across the rolling landscape around Dunstable and Whipsnade, vibrant red poppies have burst into bloom, turning entire hillsides into living works of art. The once patchwork of fresh green fields now dazzles with brilliant splashes of colour that catch the eye from miles away.

Few places offer a better vantage point than Whipsnade White Lion. Standing proudly on the slopes of Dunstable Downs for almost a century, this iconic chalk figure overlooks a landscape that changes with every month.

Poppies flourish for only a short period, dancing in the breeze and revealing different moods throughout the day. The rich reds stand against lush greenery, chalk hills, and vast summer skies, creating a palette that feels both dramatic and harmonious. Every walk, every viewpoint, and every photograph offers something slightly different.

Yet this seasonal beauty is also a gentle reminder of time passing. Summer is waiting just beyond the doorstep, and before long these vivid colours will yield way to another familiar sight. The red of June will slowly fade, replaced by the golden tones of ripening wheat stretching across the landscape.

That is part of what makes this moment so precious. Nature never stands still. One season quietly hands the baton to the next, each bringing its character and charm.

Stormy weather is unpredictable. It can change within minutes, disrupt plans, and compel a photographer to keep a constant watch on the sky. Yet that is precisely what makes it so fascinating.

On Sunday, the sky above Dunstable put on a performance that was impossible to ignore. Heavy, charcoal-grey clouds drifted across the town, threatening rain, while at the same time allowing the last rays of sunlight to break through gaps on the horizon. For a brief moment, the sky became a vast stage filled with light, colour and movement.

These are the moments that captivate me the most. The clouds stop being a backdrop and become the main actors of the scene. Dunstable has undoubtedly witnessed countless sunsets like these over the years. I have seen many of them myself. Nevertheless, everyone feels unique. Familiar streets, historic buildings and everyday corners of the town take on an entirely different character beneath a dramatic sky.

That evening was one of those occasions that reminded me of the importance of always carrying a camera. Not because of perfect weather, but because of those fleeting moments that can never be repeated. That beauty often hides in plain sight — all we need to do is look up.

Golden hour is something photographers never seem to get tired of. Soft light, long shadows, and that magical moment transform even the simplest landscape. Lens flares dancing across the frame, golden light spilling over ripening fields, warm highlights catching the tops of grasses — and all of these sights just a few minutes from the centre of Dunstable.

There is something special about these hills. They draw people in, offering open skies, fresh air and a chance to reconnect with nature. It's no surprise, because few places in Bedfordshire can rival the view from up here.

Recently, it seems sunset at Dunstable Downs has become increasingly popular, and with popularity appear crowds. Finding a quiet spot to enjoy the changing light isn't always as simple as it once was. The atmosphere is still beautiful, but perhaps a little less peaceful than before.

Thankfully, there is another option for those willing to make the effort: sunrise. Perhaps the answer is simple: an earlier bedtime and an earlier start. While the sunsets are stunning, the best moments on these hills are for those who come before the world wakes up.

Brr… It was an unbelievably cold week for May. Honestly, reflecting on last week makes me feel inclined to curl up with a blanket and remain indoors. But despite the freezing wind and grey skies, I managed to escape into the forest for a little while— and I’m so glad I did.

This time I visited Ashridge Forest, and the woodland was absolutely covered in wild garlic. A true sea of green and white stretching through the trees. The aroma was remarkable—fresh, wild, and soothing; it was the type of scent that encourages one to pause and take deeper breaths.

I love forests like these when everything comes alive in spring. The soft green colours, the birds singing somewhere above you, sunlight breaking through the leaves… moments like these remind me how beautiful nature really is. Sometimes I think we forget how much peace and comfort the natural world can give us.

👉Sometimes history isn’t just a collection of dates in dusty books. Sometimes it carries the distinct scent of grease, the chill of metal and echoes like thousands of footsteps across a production floor. 📸Today, I had the opportunity to visit a fascinating exhibition dedicated to the history of the Vauxhall factory in Luton.
A place that, for over a century, was the beating heart of British motoring and which now, sadly, is finally disappearing from the map. It’s a poignant feeling to see such a titan pass into history, but I find comfort in knowing that its legacy will survive in literature and captured frames.
🤫For me, this isn't just another closed factory. It’s a personal chapter of my life. I was once a cog in this great machine myself—working as an assembly-line operative. And although this work took a significant physical toll, ultimately leading to disability, looking back, I view it as an incredibly interesting stage of my career.
⚙️Every morning, as I walked through the Vauxhall gates, I felt a deep sense of pride. I was walking on ground that had forged history for over 100 years. It all began in 1905, when the company moved to Luton. It was here that legends were born: from Prince Henry to the reliable Bedford trucks and the icons of British roads like the Viva, Victor, and Cavalier. During WWII, this plant was vital, producing over 5,600 Churchill tanks to support the nation.
⚙️Today, as production officially ended 120 years, a monumental chapter has closed. But the spirit of Vauxhall and the sweat and pride of thousands of workers – including my own memories of working on the production line – will remain with us forever.
👉I highly encourage everyone to visit the Stockwood Discovery Centre and see the "Luton Made: Vauxhall" exhibition. It is a remarkable opportunity to witness the heritage that shaped the area.

The 81st anniversary of VE Day is behind us! As a photographer, I'm constantly looking for moments that connect the past with the present. And although the promised Bedford truck didn't arrive at the Stockwood Discovery Centre, the smiles and energy of the crowds made up for it all!

The youngest children enthusiastically painted flags and faces, while the older ones were treated to an exhibition that showcased what an incredible wartime hub Luton and Dunstable were. Instead of cars, factories like Vauxhall built mighty Churchill tanks, and assembly lines tirelessly pumped thousands of trucks to the front.

The heart of the event was a magnificent live concert, which heated the atmosphere faster than the fickle British sun. A beautiful day filled with gratitude for peace.

Everything fades with time.
💜The bluebells in are slowly falling silent, and each day the forest changes its colours. Not long ago, the endless violet carpet captivated passersby, but now only a few small traces remain concealed among the trees.
🌿That’s the beauty of places like these. They never last for long, and maybe that’s precisely what makes them so special. You can’t hold onto moments like these forever — you simply have to be there when nature decides to share them.
See you again next spring💜

This year’s tulips, like tongues of flame, burnt brightly across the beds of Priory Gardens. Their colours shimmered in the sunlight, as if they were trying to hold on to the moment just a little longer. Above the church, clouds drifted lazily in their rhythm, untouched by urgency. And somewhere in between it all, an army of pollinators worked steadily among the blossoming trees.

The world isn’t rushing. We are. And maybe that’s a quiet reminder hidden in moments like these.
To pause.
To sit.
To simply look.

Because the most meaningful images are not captured in haste —they reveal themselves when we allow time to unfold.
