How do you celebrate the milestones along the way?

The moments you somehow wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

As a studio photographer in Great Dunmow, Essex, I feel incredibly lucky to be invited into so many families’ stories.
I get to photograph the tiny newborn who will one day be running around the studio… the siblings who suddenly seem so much bigger… the grandparents watching their family grow… and all those little moments in between.

And what I love most?

Knowing that my photographs become part of a little human’s story. ❤️

One day, they’ll look back at these photographs and see how loved they were. They’ll see the people who were there, the family they grew up surrounded by, and the moments that made up their childhood.

That is so much more than just taking a photograph.

It’s preserving a piece of their story.

✨ Mini Newborn Shoot
45 minutes of studio time, perfect if you’re looking for a shorter, more relaxed session and a beautiful selection of images to remember those tiny newborn details.

✨ Full Newborn Shoot
Up to 3 hours of studio time, giving us plenty of time for cuddles, feeding, changing, outfit changes and those beautiful family photographs without feeling rushed.

And the best bit?

You simply book using your due date. 🤍

Once your little one arrives, we adjust your actual shoot date to suit you and baby.

Because newborns don’t exactly stick to our calendars! 😉
Those tiny hands.

Those sleepy cuddles.
That newborn scrunch.
The way they fit so perfectly in your arms.

Have you ever tried getting ALL the cousins together for a photograph? 😂

Did it go completely to plan… or was it absolute chaos?

Let’s be honest, getting a group of children to all stand still, look at the camera and smile at exactly the same time is basically a miracle. 😂

Someone will be running off.
Someone will refuse to smile.
Someone will pull a face.
Someone will need a snack.

And there will almost certainly be one child who has decided this is the exact moment they no longer want their photograph taken. 🤣

But you know what? It is SO worth it.

Because one day, these cousins will be grown up.

They won’t all live five minutes away.

They won’t see each other every weekend.

Their lives will get busier.

And that photograph of them all together will become something incredibly special.

Not because everyone was perfectly posed.
But because they were all there. 🤍

I love photographing cousins together, the giggles, the chaos, the cuddles, the personalities and all those little moments in between.

So yes… getting everyone together for a photoshoot might be chaotic.

How fast or slow did the first year of motherhood go for you? 🤍

Did you feel like you blinked and your tiny baby was suddenly one?

For some of us, those first 12 months feel like the longest, most exhausting year… and somehow also the fastest year of our lives.

The sleepless nights.
The tiny fingers wrapped around yours.
The milky cuddles.
The first smiles.
The first laughs.
The little outfits they seemed to grow out of almost overnight.

And then suddenly… they’re ONE. 🥹

That’s why I love creating photographs that feel timeless.
Not overly posed. Not full of trends that will date. Just you, your baby and all those little details that you might not realise you’ll miss one day.

Because photographs have a wonderful way of taking us back.

Back to how tiny they were.

What age do you think is best for timeless family photography? 🤍

Is it the tiny newborn days?
Those little toes, sleepy cuddles and impossibly small fingers? 👣

Or the toddler years, when every day brings a new expression, a new favourite word and plenty of chaos?

Maybe it’s the giggles of childhood, the cuddles that are becoming fewer, or that stage when your children are growing into the people they are becoming?

The truth is… every stage has something incredibly special about it.

I love creating timeless photographs of families exactly as they are right now, because one day, these photographs won’t just be pictures.

They’ll take you straight back.

Back to the tiny toes.
The messy hair.

How quickly does one year pass for you?

Do you ever look at your children and wonder how they’ve grown so much, so quickly?

One of my favourite ages to photograph is that magical stage when your children are old enough to run off and play with their friends independently… but they’re still very much your babies. ❤️

They’re becoming their own little people. Their personalities are growing, their friendships are developing, and suddenly you realise just how quickly these years are passing.
Family photographs at this stage are about capturing who they are right now, the giggles, the cuddles, the cheeky smiles, the little personalities and all those tiny details you think you’ll remember forever.

Because one day, you’ll look back at these photographs and think, “I remember when they were this little.”

And I promise… you’ll be so glad you captured it. 📸🤍

Are you nervous about booking a photoshoot because you have a toddler?

Worried they won’t sit still?
Scared they won’t smile?
Thinking the whole thing might descend into chaos?

Well… guess what?

It probably will. 🤣

And that’s absolutely OK!

Toddlers are toddlers. They run, they wriggle, they refuse to look at the camera, they change their minds approximately 47 times a minute… and sometimes they have VERY strong opinions about what we’re doing!

But we’ll laugh. We’ll play. We’ll follow their lead. We’ll take a million opportunities when they appear and somehow, amongst all that beautiful chaos, we’ll get the photographs. ❤️

You don’t need a perfectly behaved toddler to have beautiful family photographs.

You just need to show up, relax and let me handle the rest. 📸✨
