WHAT A NIGHT! Donaghmore Ladies GAA production of "Who's behind the Mask?" ran last night in Donaghmore's Bardic theatre, which is steeped in history for some of the most incredible performances over its near 30 years...
Well, we can now add this one as well!
For entertainment value, it was A+!
For production value, it was A+!
For energy, it was A+!
For organisation, it was A+!
For the cast, It was A+!
How many superlatives can we use to describe this night..?? It had everything.. the BEST cake has the BEST ingredients, well every single aspect of this show was FIRST CLASS.. every small detail was thought about and carried out with sheer perfection..
We see the result of the work that goes into a huge show like this, on the night and yes it has to go well to be a success.
However the work carried out over the last number of months and the team put together to carry that out, accomplished a 'night for the ages' which provided laugh out loud entertainment for the packed house, who will talk about this for weeks, months and years to come!
I'm very blessed to be a position, where I get to document it with my photographs, but I get to see the actors as well as the crowd and the atmosphere was pure electric and the roof was near taken off the bardic theatre with the noise, applause and energy from a very enthusiastic, "soberish" crowd!!
Malachi Cush Official was the perfect host.. he is one of our own and we're all very grateful to have an all-rounder like him who just ooses class..
His banter with the judges, Karen Kirby, Clare McCrystal and Joe Daly was one of the highlights of the night but the judges more than held their own.. they were just class!
Each of the 'contestants' left us guessing as to who they were but all brought something special to the 'party'!
Donaghmore and the surrounding towns and villages can take great pride in the talent we are blessed with, and we have the best of the best! The lighting and staging by Jim McKeown and Rew Donaghy can often be forgotten about but again, it was another of those ingredients that works!
Finally, a massive shout out to Emma Hegarty, Bugsy Mc Mahon and their band of ladies (who are part of the Donaghmore ladies football team), stand up and take a bow because you just provided us with a gem and thank you for that!
PS. PAW PATROL WERE ROBBED!!
