Came over to Castle Street Market last night to set up for this morning’s first day of Christmas. I have lots of beautiful images of Scotland which make perfect, unique gifts or stocking fillers. I’ve also recently taken delivery of a final print run of my 2025 calendars……and remember we’re still well within Christmas posting time for getting them to friends and relatives abroad.

Disappointed that Castle Street Market can’t open today because of the really high wind gusts. I guess the danger of flying gazebos is too much! We wouldn’t want to go viral like that trampoline during Hurricane Babbage, haha. Sorry if anyone had planned to come visit today, but we’ll hopefully be back tomorrow (though even that’s a bit up in the air at the moment- not literally, thankfully😂).Yesterday we had no wind to speak of and it was dry most of the day, but when leaving at 7 pm, Edinburgh looked like this! Did someone say August?!?!

Some of the trips up north I posted about recently were aimed at capturing some final images I wanted to include in my 2025 calendars. During last year's many events at Castle Street Market, a lot of tourists and customers had asked me to produce a calendar, which I hadn't done for a few years. I had them produced in time for last month's event at Castle Street and I'm glad to say they proved very popular! I ran with two versions - one with images of beautiful locations in Scotland that I've captured through the years, and one solely with gorgeous Scottish beaches....just to prove we have them, lol. They're produced on high quality photo paper and I was genuinely delighted when I saw how they had turned out. If you want to see and feel the quality for yourself, please come into Edinburgh for a visit during August while the festival is on. I'll be there on the corner of Princes Street & Castle Street from this Saturday (3 August) until the 24th. My website at https://tmfocus.shootproof.com is set up only to sell individual prints, so I can't sell my calendars through there, but with the help of the company I use for card transactions I've set up a small online shop just for my calendars at https://t-m-focus-ltd.sumupstore.com just to let anyone who can't make it into Edinburgh have one (or two!!) as a reminder of beautiful Scotland. You can see some of the included images on the shop site too. Please, please share this if you don't mind, especially if you have friends and family abroad who may be interested. I'd really appreciate it. (If you've read this far, you may as well, haha). Thanks. In the meantime, here's a few of the included images from Glencoe, Sutherland & Assynt.

Last week I shared a post of some of the local wildlife from my Lewis and Harris trip, but I was mainly there to get some more images of beaches from the islands as I've made a couple of 2025 calendars - one of Scottish beaches and one simply of Scotland's general loveliness. They're in course of being printed and I'm hoping I'll have them in time for Castle Street Market which I start on Monday through until Sunday, 7 July. I'll let you know as soon as they're available. In the meantime, here are a couple of beach shots that may - or may not - have made it into the calendars. Hope to see you next week in Edinburgh!!

While I was in Harris and Lewis last week, I HAD to take some photos of the locals. It all got a bit hairy at some points.....and woolly at others! These and other cuties (excluding myself, obviously!) will be with me at Castle Street Market from Monday 1st July until Sunday 7th July. Why not come along and say "Aaawww"?

After last week’s somewhat windy and dull weather at Castle Street Market, TM Focus decided we needed to blow away some cobwebs with a trip to Lewis and Harris. Struck lucky with the weather the day we headed to Seilebost and Luskentyre beaches. When can I come back…..!

Day out #2 of 2024 for me and my camera. Yesterday’s post should also have said camera and not camper!! Today I went to Steall Falls in Glen Nevis, then - as ever ! - home via Glencoe. Just as the sunset was failing to turn up, I saw some maddies having a dook at 3 waters head waterfall in Glencoe.

Camper’s first day out of 2024! Not a bad one too, with stops at Loch Eilt, Loch Morar and Arisaig. Now dark as I post this from Ballachulish on the road back down to Oban.

I've been a bit quiet in the run-up to Christmas, but as you'll see from the photos here, I've still been getting out and about with my camera. These are from some recent trips out. Let me know if you like them, please. I've been going through my work getting ready for the Christmas events. I start at Castle Street Market in Edinburgh this Saturday (2nd) for a week outdoors then from Monday, 11 December I move into the warm at Silverburn in Glasgow for the whole fortnight until Christmas Eve. I'm really looking forward to it and hope you will come along to either event to choose a piece for your friends and family. There's still posting time to remind folks abroad of what they're missing back home in Scotland!! Hope to see you soon and, if not, have a good Christmas anyway, yeah?
