Pixel Exhibition Dumfries

The exhibition is now closed and the ten photographers involved want to pass on their thanks to a number of people involved in the organising and support offered in putting this together. Firstly to Rachel Speedie, The Art Room within The Old School for allowing us to exhibit at short notice as well as assisting in the hanging process. Thanks Rachel.
Secondly a number of local organisations allowed us to advertise and mentioned us in their pages, The Stove Network, The Yellow Door, Ottersburn Gallery thanks.
To all family, friends and visitors who either came to the Old School or viewed the work on line thanks for the support and the many positive comments the photographers received.
Finally to the two tutors, firstly Ricky Nolan for his advice and wise words in the lead up to the exhibition and also to Alan Bennington who with Ricky has in the past two years provided the learning and tutoring which sees it results, in the work not only on show, but in the portfolios which have led to several students being accepted for degree courses in photography or art. Thanks gentlemen.

The last photographer to take part in the exhibition is Janine Warwick whose documentary shots created some very positive comments in regard to the way the work was presented as well as the emotions it evoked. It would be true to say that Janine in her photography managed to convey the message about the conditions that people in this country still have to face.

Last day of the exhibition and last chance to see the work on display. We are down to our last two photographers and next to showcase her work is Lidia Borucka.

The next of our Photographers to be shown is Kristoff Henderson. A wide range of images here, Kristoff enjoys experimenting with different forms of photography. Remember, the exhibition remains open until tomorrow afternoon so get along to see it if you can!

As the exhibition is closing it's doors on Saturday evening we will be showing the images on the Pixel page for those that cannot manage to get down to the Old School. First up tonight is Laura Hyslop whose shot of St Monans on the East Neuk of Fife drew lots of positive comments from the visitors on Tuesday evening. If you are interested in buying any of Laura's work get down to the exhibition where she has a price list alongside her work.
