When you think you’ve nailed the ring upgrade, but your wife has been plotting something of her own.

Trying something a little different with this one. A little photo journal from Loune-djenia & Moses’ incredible vow renewal at Auchen Castle. Flying everyone over from the sunshine state for those epic castle vibes.

And honestly, May at Auchen is hard to beat. An outdoor ceremony surrounded by those massive pink and purple rhododendrons popping off everywhere in the background. Spring doing its thing.

Moses loved showing off his new upgraded wedding ring for Loune-djenia. What he DIDN’T know was that Loune-djenia had the same idea and had a brand-new ring waiting for him too. 😂 Safe to say, Moses was completely caught off guard.

Part two incoming…

Big shoutout to everyone who made the day so good, including the brilliant team at Auchen Castle, Gaynor on hair, Callum bringing the tunes, holly on florals, and my amazing pal Rebecca at RSVP. Class getting to work alongside you again! 🙌

There’s always something extra special about photographing the wedding of someone you’ve known all the way back to nursery.

Sherie & Cobban tied the knot at the beautiful Crichton Church, with Lindsay Mason taking the reins for a lovely, fun and bright ceremony, finished off with a little jumping of the Broom.

The weather definitely wasn’t playing ball for parts of the afternoon, but they just rolled with it. A couple of brollies, the right attitude, and we still managed to get some absolutely fantastic photos  before the weather made it up to us with an unreal sunset to finish the day 🌅

Back up to the beautiful Mabie House Hotel for the reception and a perfect little surprise mid-meal too, with my good friend Ewan from Shade of Sax appearing for a set and getting the whole room absolutely jumping 🎷

Sherie & Cobban, thank you so much for letting me be part of your day. It’s always amazing photographing a wedding, but even more so when it’s someone you’ve known for pretty much most of your life.

Massive shoutout as well to all the suppliers, venues and everyone behind the scenes who helped make their day absolutely perfect 🤍

You asked, I listened… after a two-year break, the Late Summer Mini Sessions are back! ☀️🌊

It’s been TWO YEARS since I last did these, so it was about time we brought them back for a little late summer run throughout August & September!

We’ll be heading to one of my absolute favourite little coastal spots with some late afternoon/early evening glow, beaches, and plenty of good vibes.

Perfect for couples, families, engagements, the dogs, or anyone wanting a chance to enjoy those last summer evenings and capture some lovely memories before summer comes to an end.

Details:
📸 15-minute sessions
📸 20 digital images that you can print and share however you like.

Shoot dates will be postponed if we get bad weather.

Ready to book in? DM me to secure your date! First come first serve. If dates sell out again, I may add some more.

Looking forward to seeing lots of people who came along last time, as well as plenty of new faces too.

Tag anybody you think should do this shoot!

Ross & Rebecca's wedding at Crichton Church and the Easterbrook Hall was an absolute belter.

It's always a pleasure being back at the Crichton Church and Easterbrook. It's such a classic Dumfries wedding venue, and no matter how many times I'm there, it never gets old.

After a lovely church service, we made the most of the grounds around the Crichton for some portraits before everyone headed over to the terrace for cocktail hour. It was great just wandering around, catching all the laughs, hugs, conversations, and those little moments that make the day feel so real.

Then, just before the evening got underway, we snuck away for an impromptu golden hour stroll back towards the church. The light was playing ball for a change, so we took our time, had a good chat, and came away with some of my favourite photos from the day. Sometimes the unplanned moments end up being the best ones.

Ross & Rebecca, thank you both so much for having me there. It was brilliant getting to spend the day with you, your families, and your friends, and I'm so grateful you trusted me to capture it all.

A massive thank you as well to everyone at the Easterbrook Hall and all of the suppliers who helped everything run so smoothly. ❤️

Christina & Stuart's wedding at the beautiful Mabie House was one of those days where everything just seemed to work out.

Apart from Stuart forgetting his socks in the morning (which was quickly fixed with a wee trip into town!), the day couldn't really have gone any smoother.

From the minute I arrived, it looked like an outdoor ceremony was on the cards. With the sun shining all day, they made the most of the stunning front lawn, surrounded by all their family and friends. A huge shoutout to the brilliant Anne, Solway Celebrant for leading such a lovely ceremony.

Later on, we headed into one of my favourite little spots in Mabie Forest for some couple photos before finishing the day with a gorgeous sunset over the trees. It was definitely worth making the most of the evening light.

Christina & Stuart, thank you so much for having me there and for trusting me to capture such an important day. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you both.

And finally, a big thank you to everyone at Mabie House and all of the amazing suppliers who helped make the day run so smoothly. ❤️

Galloway Forest on Film 🎞️

This is your reminder that your wedding can look however you want it to.

If that means hiking into the middle of Galloway Forest, standing beside a loch, and saying your vows surrounded by nothing but nature...

I'd say that's a pretty good decision.

At first, you’re aware of it.

Where to stand.
What to do with your hands.
Whether it looks right.

And then something shifts.

You stop thinking about it.
You stop trying to get it right.

And it just feels like you.

That’s the moment everything changes.

Almost every couple I work with says the same thing before their wedding...

"We're going to be so awkward in photos."

They imagine standing there not knowing what to do, feeling really aware of the camera and worrying they'll look awkward.

Honestly, I get it. That's what most people expect.

But here's what actually happens.

You relax.

You start paying attention to each other instead of me.

You stop thinking about the camera altogether.

Before you know it, it doesn't even feel like you're having photos taken.

It just feels like you're spending time together on your wedding day.

And that's when all the best moments happen.

Some weddings feel less like a day and more like a story you'll carry with you forever.

Olivia & Alfred travelled all the way from Telluride, Colorado, to say their vows here in Scotland, and somehow, after what felt like months of unpredictable weather, they were gifted one of the most beautiful days imaginable. It honestly felt like Scotland was showing off. When you send a random meme over on Instagram and they reply saying, "I absolutely love this, it's hilarious," you just know you're going to get on brilliantly.

From the moment the ceremony began, there was so much love in the room. The kind that catches you off guard. The kind that has everyone reaching for tissues. I genuinely don't think there was a dry eye in the house.

The rest of the day unfolded perfectly. Wandering the grounds of Auchen Castle - Wedding Venue soaking in every moment, before finishing with the dreamiest golden hour as the sun disappeared over the hills. It was calm, emotional, joyful and completely unforgettable.

Olivia & Alfred, thank you for letting me tell your story. It was such a privilege to spend the day with you, your family and your friends, and it's a wedding I'll remember for a very long time.

A huge thank you to the incredible team at Auchen Castle and all of the amazing suppliers who helped make the day everything it was. Days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do. 🤍

There are so many things I love about this job, but this has to be right up there.❤️

Standing with six amazing couples, all whose weddings I've had the privilege of photographing, and so many of whom found me because another couple recommended me. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get used to that.

Every recommendation, every tag, every message saying "you have to book Cameron" means more than I could ever put into words. It isn't just helping my little business grow, it's trusting me with one of the biggest days of your lives, and that never feels like something to take for granted.

One of my favourite parts is seeing so many past clients at other weddings. We end up having a proper catch-up, hearing how married life is , what you've all been up to, and it genuinely feels like catching up with friends.

Thank you for continuing to recommend me, support me and make me feel so welcome every single weekend. I honestly couldn't ask for a better group of people to spend my weekends with.

I appreciate every single one of you. ❤️
