The sky cleared out of nowhere and I knew instantly we had to go back out.

After getting to know Allie & Matt so well, I knew how much this would mean.

Allie works in aerospace space, stars, all of it is her world. She even has her own ted talk on spacesuits! 

So a clear sky?

That wasn’t just luck. That was everything.

Absolutely freezing cold, brisk March evening, where spring hasn't fully got a hold.

Just the two of them, under something that felt bigger than the day itself.

Sometimes the best moments aren’t on the timeline.

They just… happen.

Just the sound of the wind in the air, where you hear your vows echo through the trees and your dog shuffling beside you, whole world feels like it’s paused just for you.

That’s what I love about eloping in Galloway.

These weren’t just chosen,
they were created by someone who knows her.

Her bridesmaid’s mum.
An incredible florist, but more importantly, someone who understands what she loves and what feels like her.

So nothing felt generic.
Nothing felt styled just for the sake of it.

Everything felt soft.
Loose.
Full of movement.
Like a cottage garden in late summer.

Slightly wild, a little unstructured, textures layered, nothing too perfect
The kind of details that feel alive.
That shift with the light.
That don’t sit still.

At Springkell, it just worked.

Like it all belonged there.
Like they belonged there.

That’s the difference.

Not just something that looks beautiful,
something that actually means something.

Everyone’s focused on the big moment…
but there’s always loads of other stuff happening at the same time.

Little things you’d never notice in the moment.

Someone tearing up.
Someone just watching.
Someone having a quiet little moment on their own.

It’s not planned.
It’s not posed.

It just… happens.

And you’d miss it completely if it wasn’t captured.

Because you’re busy doing the actual getting married part.

Which is exactly the point.

But it also means there’s a whole side of the day
you only get to see afterwards.

And honestly, that’s usually the bit people care about most.
