Well it’s officially considered Autumn now, where has 2026 gone?

Here’s a few frames from the Lake District, The Scottish Highlands and the Isle Of Skye, showcasing some of the many lovely scenes from the ‘ber’ months.

How are we all doing? Happy to see cosy season or sad to see the end of summer?

Truth be told, I feel so much more inspired photographically when it comes to these months, but I can’t lie, I’m really not a fan of the shorter days.

But anyways, here’s to ‘cosy season’.

One of the finest sights in all of Eryri National Park?

There’s no denying just how impressive the iconic Tryfan looks from the Carneddu side of the Ogwen Valley.

The only unfortunate thing about these scenes is that we totally missed all that good light in these shots, hmm, maybe next time…

Myself and Nikki | Travel | Hiking | Adventure | have been putting the Deuter Sport GmbH Futura daypacks to the test over this summer, and I’m absolutely SOLD. I’ve been searching for a well ventilated (for the good ol sweaty back) but capable pack to carry my camera equipment for years, I think I’ve finally found the perfect companion with the Futura Jaypack Pro.

In just a few weeks, the Scottish Highlands is going to be looking all beautifully Autumnal , you just can’t beat it can you?

The colours in Glencoe are going to be popping, I can’t wait to see it all.

One of the most insane place I’ve been in the UK so far.

Scotland is home to the most impressive and breathtaking landscapes in all of the UK, and I’m so grateful to be able to call the Isle Of Skye my home for the time being.

I stood at the top of this summit genuinely bewildered by the sheer scale and drama of the view up ontop of the infamous Black Cuillin Ridge.

I need MORE!

After months of waiting around during the early hours of the morning or late at night, I finally had my moment with not one, but two Barneys!!

The crazy thing is. This was a time where I didn’t even intend on looking for any owls, instead I was sat in a beer garden minding my own business, then out the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of those ghostly white wings , at that moment I knew it was 100% a barn owl.

It’s safe to say, that final pint was swiftly necked, a ran straight for my camera equipment and watched these two owls hunt for their younglings.

It was wild, genuinely so happy to have finally witnessed this!

New camera time! Been having a blast this past week, getting to grips with my new Fuji x-E5.

From strolls around local forestry tracks on the Isle of Skye, to longer walks out to hidden remote lochs nestled in the mountains on the mainland. The Scottish highlands have been the perfect backdrop to get my head around this fine camera.

This is my new everyday carry, rather than lugging around my big camera set up, I’m keeping things simple with this Camera Body, combined with the 23mm 2.8 pancake lens, so this lil bad boy can fit in me pocket.

What I’ve noticed over the past week, is that I’m shooting differently with this, I feel more inclined to photograph things that I wouldn’t have bothered getting the camera out for with my bigger Sony set up.

All these shots are straight out of Camera: with Film Simulations/ Recipes. If you had mentioned that to me just a few months back, this would have been blasphemous. From non stop shooting RAW files for the last few years, it’s nice to get JPEGs straight onto my phone without spending ages thinking about editing and then finally getting around to editing, to then end up getting fed up with editing. Ya feel me?

So this is quite refreshing, by removing that friction, I’m hoping I’ll get out more, create more and do a lot less thinking, and a hell of a lot more doing.

I’m not 100% happy with the images straight out of camera just yet, perhaps I need to dial in a much sexier recipe, Im all ears if anyone has any cool recommendations?

Anyways, im buzzing to be shooting everyday stuff with this lil 40mp pocket powerhouse and you’ll be seeing a hell of a lot more on this account (don’t worry my Sony isn’t going anywhere either).

Cheers for reading my waffle if you could be arsed to even read this far.

Here’s to a fine time with the FUJIFILM UK and Ireland 🤘

Who would’ve thought squirrels would be so difficult to photograph?

These cute lil guys were so evasive, in every occasion where they made an appearance, I only had a split second to get a shot.

They’re super charming tho, I’d love to go watch more red squirrels gallivanting around the woodlands, it was pretty fun I can’t lie.

Taken in the lovely lil Grasmere in the Lake District, a place I once called home. What a place.
