This course sounds amazing!!!
Sketchbooks are a wonderful way to try out new techniques and hone your style as an artist.

Being up on this floor of always reminds me of my art school days when we were sent out to sketch there. (Fellow Grays School of Art buddies will resonate!)

I was never good with heights and I’ll never forget the cold sweat I felt the time I almost let my pencil roll off the edge ✏️😰.

Today my wee boy was reluctant to go too near the edge (even although it’s completely safe)😕. But we all enjoyed this beautiful sculpture. 🌎

It was great to finally see some products in the flesh too 😍

But we still need to show up and be visible in business.
⁠
🖐️ If you need a quick image to show your audience who you are, but don't really feel like showing your face today, get your hands in on the action. (And perhaps a foot 🦶)⁠

Showing your hands at work is a great way to give your audience a glimpse behind the scenes, creating a buzz about that thing you do. Or show what you do in your spare time. 👌⁠
⁠
Regardless of how confident you are in front of the camera, it's a good idea to get some hand shots onto your grid and website anyway for variety. 👐⁠
⁠
By the way, an alternative is to book a shoot with a professional photographer (like me!) who knows all the flattering poses to help you look and feel like the bees' knees. DM me and we'll get a chat in the diary. 🤙 ⁠

Coffee features a lot in my job. Especially when I’m out meeting clients face to face. And there’s always coffee involved in networking meetings.

However, despite the plethora of fancy milky coffees available, my absolute favourite is good old INSTANT coffee with a splash of COLD milk. 🤷🏻‍♀️(Douwe Egberts is the best.)

❓What about you? Please tell me I’m not the only cheapskate who loves a nice instant made with hot water and a wee bit of semi-skimmed! 😂

With the Walter Household back at work and school, I'm reflecting on the year that's been. ⁠

Yep, taking it easy over here. Instead of starting the year with a bang, I'm easing myself in gently. 😂⁠
⁠
I'm celebrating the positives. Sometimes we only just see the challenges faced. And 2021 certainly was a year full of challenges. ⁠
⁠
📝 But writing down the wins for 2021 has helped calm my mind and prepare for the year ahead with a positive mindset. I'm amazed at the amount of stuff that came up that I'd almost forgotten about. I can see journalling being a big part of my 2022!⁠
⁠
Here are some of my 'wins' of 2021;⁠
⁠
⁠
✨ Worked with amazing dream clients whose values align with mine.⁠
⁠
✨ Talked at 3 networking events. One in person.⁠
⁠
✨ Ran an Instagram challenge at the start of the year, (with 2 kids at home).⁠
⁠
✨ I was delighted to be on a Clubhouse Panel at the Business Scotland Summit.⁠
⁠
✨ Enjoyed joining in a live Q&A as part of her business birthday celebrations.⁠
⁠
✨ Created a brand new service that I'll be offering this year.⁠
⁠
✨ Hired a brilliant bookkeeper.⁠
⁠
✨ Overcame my fear and went live on social media. Frequently.⁠
⁠
✨ Worked with on images for her new book (now in print!)⁠
⁠
⁠
