The truth? You cant handle the truth!
Its quite likely you've seen our previous post saying we are mooving,
Lets get real and open up a little.
Over the next couple of months we are stripping the studio and the business we have built back to the bones, with that the website is going to be getting a make over too.
So whats happening?
Firstly weve made the decision to move, and with our move comes a transition between premises, during this transition while our office has a temporary home, much of our "stuff" is going to be either in storage, or sold to make way for our next adventure.
Why are we mooving again?
Its not secret that we are work orientated, hard working and strive to be something bigger. We moved from our shop to a bigger studio 2 years ago, now its time to aim Higher, while we love our studio, the first one was wet in all directions, and this one has just never felt like home. Never as clean as we wanted, never as posh looking as the last one, and always felt like a stepping stone. Well now its time to take that leap.
Whats going to change?
Lots. This is going to be a sad story of success a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. From our brands conception family shoots, baby's, and studio work has been part of our regular work, but over the past 2 years weve really had to wind it back. Not because its not viable, but because weve found ourselves to be much better at some of the other things we offer. Like weddings, events and commercial projects. Part of our success has been in being diverse, but ultimatly that has clearly defined our path in the photography industry.
Weve tried taking on photographers to help us maintain the family photograohy work but that didnt work out how we had wished.
So ultimately weve always had more demand for family work than time to complete it, and as a result a studio empty 95% of the time while we are out shooting events elsewhere and popping in for editing and meetings.
Its a huge space to keep empty. Funded by the events success rather than the family shoots it was kept for.
So whats the future?
This is BIG! While much of it is a big secret at the moment, but we will be returning to a premises all being well soon enough next year. There are some big hurdles to over come, sygnificant financial investment to make, and lots of time over winter to put into this project.
While we wont be returning to family photography work, we will still have a studio, ( š¤ i know thats got you thinking what for? )
Weve always wanted to be the best at something, and weve been working on something we think we are very good at.
Weddings and events. With over 50 wedding completed this year, over 55 already booked for next year, a rapidly growing number for 2028 our business has very much found its own path.
Its time to focus 100% into the side of the business we love and have grown a reputation for.
Were not going anywhere, we are evolving, focusing our skills, growing and mooving into our next BIG thing.
So as of today weve notified our booked christmas shoots that christmas wont be going ahead in our studio anymore, and from that our last baby shoot, family shoot or studio shoot has been done. Its the end of that era, the start of the next. While I know its never going to be right for everyone, we thank every family that has trusted us to capture your memories over the past 6 years. And thankyou to every person that takes the time to tag us in local groups youve all helped us build our success as a brand and a business. Its just weddings and events for us now.
Its time.
