Wow wow wow, myself & my family and Samantha Riley & her family are completely blown away by the support you’ve all shown to our kids Joshua & Chloe!
Between them both they’ve raised over £800 for Cancer Research and it’s still rising.
Cancer is such a horrible disease/illness and really breaks a family, both myself and Samantha have felt that over the last year. The horrible part is that there’s still so many people in our positions.
The last 6 months or so have been extremely difficult for my family with being given the news that my stepdads cancer had spread to his brain from his lungs, we know that everyday we get to spend with him and make him laugh is extremely valuable. We know the time we have left is short, but Joshua wanted to make him a very proud Grandad.
He’s still super excited about taking part in the 5km muddy run, and we’re just starting to think about doing the couch to 5k to prepare us for what he’s going to do. He knows it’s going to be hard for him, normal everyday things can be difficult for him with his cerebral palsy (Hemiplegia). But he is determined to not let that stop him and complete it as fast as he can and by doing all the inflatables on his own.
To conclude, a massive heartfelt thank you to everyone who donates or sends messages of encouragement!
