I’ve spent the past year project co-ordinating for the Dartmoor Trust . The amalgamation of this is Dartmoor Light & Shadow exhibition that is currently on show in a wonderful 17th century Dartmoor barn in Manaton.
Within this show you will find work from over 20 incredible Dartmoor photographers, depicting what the moor means to them today, alongside late 1800’s photographs from the Dartmoor archive depicting traditional farm life in all its beauty.
The show is on for another 5 days so make sure to catch it before it’s over! More info and directions can be found on the Trusts website linked over at
Photography has taken a bit of a back seat over the past year but I have some work from a few sporadic shoots to share. This shoot with Martin Stallard can be found in display at the exhibition.
Martin is a professional dry stone waller working in and around South Devon. He first trained as a dry stone waller 28 years ago. Since then has been sharing this skill and trade around Dartmoor for the last 12 years and is now working towards the Master Craftsman Certificate. Martin also works on other rural skills such as hedgelaying, cobblestoning & chestnut fencing.
