My first post after a long break!! 🐕

I’ve been really quiet on here over the past few months, popping up for a few days and then disappearing again. I do apologise 🫣

I originally started sharing my photography just to post photos I’d taken, nothing more, nothing less. But over time, I found myself only wanting to post “Instagram-worthy” images instead of the ones I actually loved.

I started comparing myself a lot. My photos, my content, my editing, even my gear. I’d look at other accounts and feel like I was falling behind, like what I had or created just wasn’t good enough. It got to the point where I was holding back photos I genuinely liked, just because I didn’t think they measured up.

My editing isn’t perfect. My photos aren’t flawless. My time and locations are limited. I’m also still a beginner, and that’s something I’ve had to remind myself. I’m constantly learning new tricks, ideas and techniques, and that’s all part of it. And that’s okay.

It’s taken me a while to realise that I didn’t start this account for anyone else. I started it for me. Photography has given me something I didn’t have before, a reason to get out, explore, and enjoy something that’s mine.

Because of it, I’m now out regularly taking photos of my dog, I’ve joined a local photography club and meet up with them every week, and I’ve had some lovely zoo days with when the weather actually allows it 😅

So I’m going back to basics, posting what I love for no reason other than I love it 🤍

A Laughing Kookaburra photographed at 💚🪶

Kookaburras are some of my absolute favourite birds, so getting the chance to photograph one up close was really special for me. I love their markings, their expressions, and just how much character they have.
Green Planet Dubai was an incredible place to shoot, and I already can’t wait to visit again one day 📸🪶

Here we have what I believe might be a Giant Leaf-Tailed Gecko, photographed at 💚
I’m not completely sure on the exact species, but this incredible reptile caught my eye straight away. The textures, the colours and that amazing pupil detail made it such a fun subject to photograph.

Green Planet Dubai never disappoints and I’m loving going through the rest of the photos from our visit. More to come soon! 📸🦎✨

It was such an amazing place to visit, I couldn’t recommend it enough and it is definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Dubai! 🦜

I’m back after a little break! Life’s been a bit hectic recently. Between our trip to Dubai (that I’m still editing photos from!), dog sitting when we got home, picking up our own dog after that… and on top of all that, we were meant to be getting on a plane to Lisbon today.
Well… we were. Our flight was cancelled Tuesday. I was super gutted about it and every other flight was either fully booked or completely clashed with the dates we had booked our Airbnb for.

So instead, we’ve booked a couple of nights in London later this week, which means I’ll finally be visiting London Zoo for the first time! At least there’s something exciting to look forward to! 🐯

I’ve also been busy trying to grow my dog’s Instagram account. If you’d like to follow her, she’s 🐾 I’m a real fur mum now!!

Manor revealed the names of their three Red Panda cubs earlier today 🥹 I believe this little face belongs to Pebbles, the female!
I’ve been checking in on them every visit and was so lucky to catch them peeking out of their nest for a bamboo snack last week🎋🐾 Hoping to spot them exploring the enclosure soon! ❤️
