08.06.26 First day of the trail and off we went looking for the Pride of Yorkshire | Sculpture Trail

1. Paw Some Sugar - By David Allen and Craig Turver - Designed to honour one of South Yorkshire’s most beloved hometown heroes Def Leppard.

Formed in Sheffield in 1977, Def Leppard features Rick Savage, Joe Elliott, Rick Allen, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell.

Known for their unique sound that combines heavy metal music with melody, catchy hooks and vocal harmonies, Def Leppard have played all over the world and released 12 studio albums.

Paw Some Sugar gets its name from their 1987 hit, Pour Some Sugar on Me.

2. Puck - By Rachel Hunt - Meet Puck! The proud lion representing Sheffield’s finest ice hockey team, the Sheffield Steelers.

He wears his team colours with pride, and has his skates laced in preparation for another hour of action on the ice.
