Blue Moon Portraits is run by Lynsey. I like to create a different memory for every family so that everyone experiences something unique, the atmosphere is fun and also relaxed. I believe in not only getting to know parents but the needs of your children too whether they are days old or 15 years or you bring one two or more. Each child is unique so for me getting to know you as a family and what w

orks for you is my way of creating those happy memories that will last a lifetime. I strive to bring each family the best experience they can have with memories that will last forever. Especially with newborns, they don't stay small forever so what better way to capture your new baby than with a newborn session. I take newborn and baby safety extremely to heart. A good photographer will know what to do to look after your precious bundle of joy and I follow a strict code of conduct to make sure that you not only have amazing products but that your baby is safe at all times. I no longer offer weddings in my services but have a few local recommendations if you would like to ask I can point you in those directions. Sneak peeks this week... this time it's all about the boys 🀍

Coming back to the studio with baby number two, Corran brought me his gorgeous little brother Hector... and of course the dogs came too! 🐾

I've known this lovely family for many years, ever since Corran's own newborn session, so it is always such a pleasure to watch families grow and be invited back to capture another chapter of their story.

These moments pass so quickly, but photographs allow us to hold onto them forever.

I often wonder what my children will be when they grow up...

Not what job they'll have. Not what car they'll drive. Not how much money they'll make.

I hope they are happy.

I hope they are kind.

I hope they are loving.

I hope they know how much they matter.

I hope they are brave enough to be themselves, strong enough to face life's challenges, and present enough to enjoy the little moments along the way.

The same goes for every little one who comes through my studio doors.

Because when all is said and done, I'd choose a happy heart, a kind soul, and a life filled with love over anything else. πŸ’–

Second shoot of the day on Sunday and this little guy absolutely smashed it! πŸ’«

Never have I ever had a newborn go straight into the bucket as the very first setup and settle into this pose within 10 minutes of arriving at the studio. At just one week old, he made my job look easy!

These specialist newborn props are imported from America and are specifically designed with hidden support inside, allowing babies to be posed safely and comfortably while creating these beautiful timeless images.

Now it's time for my usual summer fun... off to the nursery for graduation sessions! πŸ“ΈπŸŽ“

One thing Noah loves almost as much as football is being creative. 🎨✨

This afternoon he decided to make his own Scotland-themed colouring sheet, using some imaginative prompts and all of his favourite things.

He was so excited creating it and can't wait to take it in tomorrow and share it with his classmates.

I love watching his imagination run wild and seeing how excited he gets when he creates something from his own ideas. πŸ–οΈπŸŽ¨πŸ’«

Very proud of him tonight. I know his Nana, great grandma & grandpa too would also be very proud of his love of art. It runs in the genes.

Sundays in the studio are extra special ✨

This morning I had the sweetest newborn little boy in with his proud big sister, and honestly they were both just adorable. Watching siblings with their brand new baby is always one of my favourite things to capture.

No time for a tea break though... today's a double shift and my next little client is about to walk straight through the studio door! πŸ“Έ

Then it's straight into nursery graduation week tomorrow. It is a busy week here at Blue Moon Portraits, but I genuinely wouldn't have it any other way.

If you're thinking about booking a newborn session, I am now taking pre-bookings from August through to January, with family and sibling sessions included in my newborn packages.

Today Noah and Zach completed their very first 5K! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ­πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
(And Jessie too! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβœ¨)

They took on the challenge alongside their two best friends, Owen and Orla,
I couldn't be prouder of all four of them. πŸŒŸπŸ’«

They completed the run with Tom and Jessie, who encouraged all four children every step of the way. ❀️

⭐ The support, determination and team spirit from everyone involved was amazing to see for the first time as we had never been before.

There were tired legs, lots of smiles, plenty of laughs and a huge sense of achievement oh and a well deserved chippy for tea. πŸ…βœ¨

A massive well done to Noah, Zach, Owen and Orla. 🌟

You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.
A huge thank you to St. Clements for organising such a fantastic Fun Run. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβœ¨πŸŒˆ

It was a brilliant day and such a lovely way to support their school's fundraising efforts. We hope today's event raises lots of money for their school and all the wonderful things it does for the children. β­πŸ’›βœ¨
