The Safe House is Victorian property with a twist, one that has been completely stripped back to form an atmospheric space. 🗝️

It feels like looking at the bare bones of the house, pale and stark with exposed structural timber splaying out like a skeleton. The effect is remarkable, creating an array of neutral tones and textures that form effortlessly versatile backdrops.

This may look like beautifully abstract wallpaper, but the blue walls at Eagle House are something else entirely. 💭

Between the stripped floors, high ceilings and period detailing lies this painterly ocean of blues and greens. Its texture and tone bring a gorgeous tactile element to shoots, dramatically lit with natural light by the tall sash windows.

These colours have actually been formed by the natural progression of time, artistically distressed to create a truly unique space that looks incredible in-camera. 📸

The rest of the house is just as lovely, with sweeping staircases, grand arched windows and original features everywhere.

This beautiful, quirky space near Marlborough goes simply by the name of 'The Stables' 🐎

Inside lies an atmospheric blend of natural rustic backdrops and ancient details, including daubs of earthy paint and copper rusted wheels. Throughout the location texture is everywhere, from the light-soaked timber on the walls to the weathered cobbles underfoot.

As well as this authentic early 19th Century stables, there's also a coach house and pretty planted gardens on the grounds.

Vast and atmospheric, The Chapel is a uniquely distressed Grade II Georgian chapel located in Peckham. 🕰️

Concrete floors lie below whilst tall ceilings stretch out above, held by textured walls still holding plaques and stone detailing. Soft, natural light filters in through the magnificently preserved stained glass windows, adding a splash of colour to the otherwise earthy palette.

This is Saltoun Road, the location that started it all. ✨

25 years ago, our founder Sophie visited this artist's home in Brixton. She knew that this property had something the industry had never seen before, and started Light Locations as an agency to represent it. Saltoun Road quickly gained the attention of many editorial publications, including a nine page feature in The World of Interiors.

Fast forward to today and Light Locations is now a leading location agency with a rich and diverse portfolio of London homes and country houses that is every growing. We work with large, well established brands as well as independent companies and content creators to help them achieve their creative vision.

The beauty of this grade II listed property lies in the perfect balance of old and new. Its stunning period features, be it the wooden beams or the ornate carved staircase, are cleverly complemented by clean lines and thoughtfully selected tones.

A sunshine yellow doorway set against a bright blue sky, the perfect combination of summer colour! ☀️

This double fronted Victorian property is Crescent House in Hastings, a home that has been adapted specifically for photoshoots. Throughout its many spacious rooms are a multitude of textural backgrounds, including lime wash paint and panelled walls. Lovely windows fill the rooms with light whilst tonal colours bring warmth and character in perfect harmony.
