Today should have been the final day of the Manx Grand Prix…
Sadly, with the weather doing its usual Manx thing, the racing was all wrapped up by Tuesday.

So I thought I’d post this today for all my friends who are still on the Island, or who have been over there, and especially those who have been helping out with the event as marshals.

It’s easy to watch the racing and forget just how many people work behind the scenes to make an event like this happen. Without the marshals giving up their time, it simply wouldn’t go ahead — and that goes for so many sports and events.

A massive thank you to every one of you. 👏👏

If you’ve never been to the Manx GP, it really is a fantastic event. I’d describe it as a low-key TT, but don’t let that fool you — the racing is every bit as exciting, and being around the course gives it a brilliant atmosphere.

Hopefully everyone on the Island has had a great week, despite the weather, and to all those who have helped make it happen… thank you and well done! 🏍️💨🇮🇲

Well last night we should of been racing in the Loughborough Grass auto test. But because of the field been too dry & burnt we had to cancel it. So instead we headed off to near by Melton Mowbray for a couple of hours before having a Social night instead.
Great town about the same size as Buxton, but I would say more there in terms of markets, live stock as well as street. Plenty of shops .
As always great to meet fellow car club members at the Grey Hound in Burton on the Wolds.

We had a little trip over to Tideswell yesterday & carried on to Bradwell, we saw 9 para gliders up & stopped & watched them for a while, then we circled the hill & came out the other side at Abney.
