WHAT’S MY 2026 DUCATI MULTISTRADA LIKE, AFTER 3 MONTHS & 3,500 MILES?
After 10+ years riding Triumph Tiger 1200s, I have switched to the 2026 Ducati Multistrada V2S.
Here's my honest 3-month, 3,500-mile review after a French/Swiss mountain tour.
In This Review:
🏍 Why I moved away from the Triumph Tiger 1200.
🏍 Why I chose the new Multistrada V2S over the Tiger 900, KTM 890 Adventure and BMW alternatives.
🏍 Real-world touring comfort and luggage capacity.
🏍 Fuel economy and performance.
🏍 Suspension, handling and riding modes.
🏍 Akrapovič exhaust impressions.
🏍 The good, the bad and the unexpected oil leak warranty issue.
What I Like
✔ Much lighter and easier to manage than my previous Tiger 1200.
✔ Smooth, flexible new V2 engine.
✔ Excellent semi-active suspension.
✔ Fantastic handling on twisty roads.
✔ Great fuel economy.
✔ One of the best-looking adventure bikes currently on sale.
What I Don't Like
✘ Slightly heavy clutch.
✘ No heated or comfort seat option (yet).
✘ No hill-hold function.
✘ Early oil leak from a crankcase seal, repaired under warranty.
Overall, the Multistrada V2S has completely rekindled my enjoyment of touring and may be the best all-round motorcycle I've owned so far.
