Celebrating love in the heart of Pontypool, Scott and Jess shared their perfect "I dos" at the Registry Office on a day that proved simple can be simply beautiful. As photographers, we were privileged to capture those intimate moments - from a nervous entrance to the heartfelt smiles during their heartfelt vows.
After making it official, Pontypool Park provided a wonderful setting. While the historic gates and steps provided stunning backdrops, it was the natural, unscripted moments between Scott and Jess that truly stole the show. Caught up in their newlywed bubble, they laughed their way through the shoot, giving us the kind of genuine moments photographers dream about.

Last Saturday, half of the Pairfect Moment Studio team had a fantastic evening. Kasia (in Lee’s absence, as he was down with a nasty cold) photographed the Halloween Party in Cardiff, organized by The Swing Project.

There was so much to capture—amazing costumes and, as usual, dancers having a fantastic time! Some of the dancers showcased routines they’d recently learned, and they absolutely nailed them. Awards were given for the best costumes.

As always, the lighting posed a challenge, but Kasia came back with plenty of photos to choose from. Here is a collage featuring some sneak preview photos already sent to the client. And since Halloween is all about fun, why not add some festive graphics to the images?

This event is a great example of why we offer services by two photographers. In case one of us is unable to attend, the other can cover the event and ensure the photos are captured.

We’ll share more photos with you once they’re all edited and sent to the client.

Bringing back memories from the Summer party in Cardiff.

It was a great privilege to be commissioned (on 25th August 2024), to capture photographic memories at the Radnor Rooms (Bristol) for an after-wedding party for two amazing people, Alex and Steve. The venue, known for its unique blend of industrial chic and vintage elegance, offered a stunning location for the venue, the staff extremely well-organised and friendly, ensuring that everything went smoothly.

It was an incredible turn-out and the rooms were soon filled with people having a great time, posing an interesting challenge to capture people on camera without intruding on their fun, whilst also accounting for the changing light conditions as the evening lengthened into night.

Speeches were made (not too embarrassing!) and it was a perfect opportunity to capture the line-up of attendees, all in rapt attention.

Having The Sweet & Lowdown band provide live music added an extra layer of magic to the evening. The band was excellent, setting a perfect tone with some classic song choices. The dance floor filled up, the disco lights providing a perfect party atmosphere for those strutting their stuff.

We captured the essence of the evening, highlighting the fun that was had, and how Alex and Steve are blessed to have such amazing friends and family, who obviously have deep respect for the special couple.

Throughout the event, we discreetly moved through the venue, capturing candid moments of the guests enjoying themselves. The Radnor Rooms' layout, with its cozy nooks and open spaces, allowed for many captures of spontaneous moments; groups and couples laughing together, heartfelt moments and more.

Shooting at the Radnor Rooms for Steve and Alex was a rewarding experience. The venue’s character and the couple's obvious connection made for a perfect combination. Reviewing the photos, we can see a collection that not only captures the aesthetic beauty of the evening but also the genuine emotions and unique story of this wonderful couple.

PAIRfect Moment Studio this week visited the Radnor Rooms (Bristol) ahead of their booked wedding venue photoshoot.

Such a charming location. The building began its journey as a beloved pub with rooms in the 1920s. After years of decline, this Grade II listed gem has been thoughtfully restored by the Wolff family, transforming it into a haven for creatives, business professionals, friends, and families alike. The interior and rooftop terrace have been meticulously renovated, featuring restored hand-crafted cornices, chandeliers, bare brick walls, large sash windows, and an outdoor chimney with a working fire to keep guests warm late into the night. An outdoor fully stocked bar and a kitchen where all the cooking is done complete the experience.

On Saturday 27th July, PAIRfect Moment Studio (Kasia Ociepa/ Lee Kershaw) had the pleasure of being contracted to capture the Swing Project’s summer party, an organisation that hosts classes, workshops and events for dancers of all levels, with a primary focus on Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz.
Kasia had previously been contracted by Jessie and Benjie, the organisers, since 2023.
“It was my fourth time I was asked to take photos for The Swing Project.
The first time ever I took photos was back in December 2023 for the Christmas party. So, it was nice to be back at the St Mary’s church hall in Cardiff last weekend.
I found taking photos of people dancing and in low light conditions very challenging, comparing with other types of photography. Being the Lindy Hop dancer helped enormously when trying to capture the moves, but still it is hard to read the leader’s mind. Every time I am taking photos of dancers, listening to my favourite music, I found it so difficult to stay still to take sharp photos.
My feet were tapping, and my brain was telling me to dance – and seeing so many happy faces was a hard thing to resist, lol.”

This was Lee’s first time with the group.
"It was incredibly hot (even as a photographer let alone as a dancer), but just snapping away from the side-lines I could tell what an absolute blast these people were getting. As a photographer, the challenge of capturing the dancers was significant. Initially, I was getting the shot after the magic happened. After a while, I started to learn to see the photograph before it happened, watching the movements of the dancers as they moved into what would be a good shot, then capturing the expression of the moment. Using different cameras and lenses also proved interesting, balancing out focus tracking with light and associated settings. In the end, a balance was struck, the results speak for themselves."

Kasia and Lee wholeheartedly recommend “The Swing Project”, if you would like to learn to dance, lose weight, or just mingle with other people set on having an innocent good time. Jessie and Benjie are amazing teachers, and there is always a fantastic atmosphere.

At the IYE Festival in Abergavenny, Kasia and Lee (photographers from Pairfect Moment Studio), were on-hand to capture the vibrant atmosphere. The festival was alive with young performers playing instruments and singing. “Dance Blast Abergavenny” also delivered several energetic and captivating dance performances that the crowd loved.
The success of the festival was a testament to the meticulous planning and hard work of the organizers and volunteers. Their efforts ensured a smooth experience for both performers and attendees, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the festivities.
Kasia and Lee managed to encapsulate the essence of the festival, highlighting the joy and excitement that filled the air. Here is a sneak preview of some of the initial photos, providing a glimpse into the memorable moments captured during the event.
The vibrant performances and enthusiastic community participation truly made the IYE Festival in Abergavenny a standout celebration of local talent and creativity. Kudos to everyone involved for making it such a memorable occasion!
