Having used my Canon R6 Mark II for some time now, I decided it was time to explore some of the lesser-known features and creative modes hidden within the camera. Unfortunately, the basic manual supplied in the box wasn't going to provide the level of detail I was looking for..! 😠So, I ordered the Advanced User Guide... and was rather surprised when it arrived in not one, but three volumes……! 🧐At first glance, it seems comprehensive enough to answer every possible question about the camera. I'm fairly certain Volume Three even explains how to use it to make a decent cup of tea! 😂

Kicked off the week at the Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham. It felt a bit smaller than the last time I attended, but there were still plenty of tempting stands—definitely enough to part me from some of my hard-earned cash…!
It was also great to catch up with a few friends along the way. Sharing a few shots here from two of the models who were featured on some of the stands (though did not have control over lighting).

A wee wander down the Clyde led me to these incredible sculptures in Port Glasgow—‘The Skelpies’ ⚒️

Standing 10m tall, they honour the town’s proud shipbuilding heritage. Not to be confused with the Kelpies, but just as impressive!
