I know there is some controversy when it comes to Grey Squirrels but where I am in Cumbria there are no recorded Red Squirrels near me.

Today is world Dinosaur Day so I’ll celebrate it with a few photos from an exhibit that I visited

🔵 Pterodactylus lived during the late Jurassic period, about 150 million years ago

🔵 Triceratops lived during the late Maastrichtian age of the Late Cretaceous period, about 68 to 66 million years ago

🔵 Dilophosaurus lived in what is now North America during the Early Jurassic period, about 186 million years ago

🔵 Ankylosaurus lived during the very end of the Cretaceous Period, approximately 70 to 66 million years ago

🔵 T-Rex lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 68 to 66 million years ago

Dinosaurs became extinct approximately 66 million years ago when a massive asteroid struck Earth.

This catastrophic impact triggered global climate change, blocking out the sun and causing a collapse of the food chain, which wiped out all non-avian dinosaurs

The purpose of the international day is to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators for the ecosystem.

The UN Member States approved Slovenia’s proposal to proclaim 20th May as World Bee Day in December 2017
