Ethical Wildlife Photography & Film Making Safaris and Workshops
UK and Worldwide
I personally lead all of my high end wildlife photography and film making safaris and workshops, and I've carefully designed each one to meet the specific needs of photographers and film makers. Safaris That Support Conservation, Climate and Communities
My commitment to ethical safari means I've taken steps to r
edress any negative impact on the world's climate from our travels, while maximising our positive impacts on conservation and communities in all our safari destinations. Booking on my safaris and workshops means you directly benefit Conservation, Climate & Community charities in the UK and Africa, including Gorilla Doctors, Mara Predator Conservation Programme and Friends of Red Kites North East. Plus my colleagues and I donate time, resources and a proportion of our profits to producing video, photography and training that allows our supported organisations to get their vital messages across. My safaris and workshops are safe, diverse and inclusive spaces for female, LGBTQ+ and BAME photographers, where we can relax, be ourselves and enjoy learning more about wildlife photography in great company. So when you safari with me you can be sure of an exciting, exclusive and ethical adventure in wildlife photography and film! A Bit Of Back Story
My love of photography started as a kid, when I'd take fuzzy snaps and save my pocket money to get them processed at the local chemist shop...perhaps not my finest work, but fun at the time! My love of wildlife started at the same age, and my first real career was as a Countryside Ranger. Now I'm a Trustee and Climate Change Ambassador for Northumberland Wildlife Trust. I first brought my two passions together via film making and natural history presenting at the BBC, before launching Trai Anfield Photography Safaris in 2011. Successes and Experience
I've been fortunate to win several awards as a wildlife photographer, including wins in WildArt Photographer Of The Year and the Greatest Maasai Mara Photographer of the Year. My photography is frequently featured in magazines, exhibited internationally, and represented in the UK by Joe Cornish Gallery. I'm an experienced tutor, having mentored and trained colleagues and contributors throughout my 13 years at the BBC. I also designed and lead Creative Factual TV Production workshops for Channel 4 for many years, and have guest lectured at Princeton University on their undergraduate Digital Bootcamp. So on my safaris and workshops you not only get the benefit of my photography experience and inspiration, but training that is tailored to your individual needs and the unique option to learn wildlife videography from a BBC trained film maker as well.
