Colin Shearer is a local photographer living in Cullen in the North-East of Scotland, an area rich in natural beauty with gorgeous countryside and stunning coastlines. As well as the spectacular scenery of his home area, Colin also specialises in art, nature and travel photography.

I remember, many years ago (almost 35, I think!), I shot a series of black and white photos of Bishop Elphinstone's tomb at King's College in Aberdeen. I was back there a couple of weeks ago and decided to have another go at it. I've played around a bit with styles and (as I did before) I concentrated mainly on the details of the bronze sculpture. And one surprise... on my last visit, I certainly don't remember noticing that the Bish painted his toenails purple!!

I'm in Chicago at the moment, and after my blog post on cemeteries Olivier suggested I should visit Graceland cemetery. So I headed up there, and also took the opportunity to visit another graveyard in the area. First, here are some shots of the grand tombs and monuments (and some of the less grand ones too) at Graceland.
