Just saw this from last year and it has made me think about how bad things have been, but also grateful about how much things can change! The darkness is there but I am the one in charge at the moment and that feels amazing!
If you are still in that dark place don’t try to remove it - just try to find a glimmer of light and concentrate on that for a while. Small steps start the journey! Stay strong, stay brave and don’t ever let the darkness win 🥰
After a long absence from my photography for a number of reasons, including challenges with my mental health, I managed to get out with my camera yesterday. Due to being somewhat rusty I didn't feel particularly happy with the resulting photos but there is something about this one.
It reminds me of how it feels to be in that dark place where you have nothing but the reflection of how you view yourself, which will be as distorted and inaccurate as the swan's reflection is.
If you are in that dark place please tell yourself and keep reminding yourself that you are not what you see!
This time of year can be particularly brutal so if you are suffering please reach out and speak to someone who can help you get the support you need to be able to see the beauty in you and your life around you.
