Just saw this from last year and it has made me think about how bad things have been, but also grateful about how much things can change! The darkness is there but I am the one in charge at the moment and that feels amazing!
If you are still in that dark place don’t try to remove it - just try to find a glimmer of light and concentrate on that for a while. Small steps start the journey! Stay strong, stay brave and don’t ever let the darkness win 🥰

After a long absence from my photography for a number of reasons, including challenges with my mental health, I managed to get out with my camera yesterday. Due to being somewhat rusty I didn't feel particularly happy with the resulting photos but there is something about this one.

It reminds me of how it feels to be in that dark place where you have nothing but the reflection of how you view yourself, which will be as distorted and inaccurate as the swan's reflection is.

If you are in that dark place please tell yourself and keep reminding yourself that you are not what you see!

This time of year can be particularly brutal so if you are suffering please reach out and speak to someone who can help you get the support you need to be able to see the beauty in you and your life around you.

If you are in crisis there are people available to talk to 24/7:

Mind support line: 0300 102 1234.
Samaritans: 116 123 (free from any phone)
National Su***de Prevention Helpline UK: 0800 689 5652
Shout: If you would prefer not to talk but want some mental health support, text SHOUT to 85258

As a photographer who I am as person cannot be separated from making my pictures. I don’t try to capture people or animals or things - I try to capture the essence of who or what I am shooting, the person or feeling behind the public mask. I am not always successful but I take my pictures with feeling. If we have connected at an event I will add you as a friend to my personal page which isn’t curated or polished - it is the real unfiltered me. I was looking for the real you so it is only right you meet the real me too.

When I post the captures from the last couple of days please let me know what you think - do you feel the energy and essence of the event through the photos or do they leave you feeling blank like looking at a catalogue? Be honest but with good intentions 🥰🖤❤️📷

Attending the Business Ascension Symposium and Awards yesterday as the event photographer was amazing.

I was there to help everyone be seen but received so much more than I gave which, in a business setting, is a rare thing indeed….. all i can say is wow!

✨So excited about being invited to be the event photographer for the Business Ascension Symposium & Awards tomorrow and Friday. ✨

Preparations have been completed and I am all ready to be there to ‘Preserve the Moment’ for you all.
I am doing this as a charity fundraiser as all I have asked for is a donation to charity in return for my time 🖤💚📷

Little bit of a busy day today doing the photos for Indi’s Journey.
Indi is a 4 year old who has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and today was about making memories for her and her family while raising money to help them out.

I will be uploading batches of photos over the next day or so. They can be found here:
