now back from my 5 days in the peak district sadly back to normaliity, some of the images have now been proccessed and posted, as always on a trip like this a large part of it is learning the landscape and how the light plays upon it, due to the fact that we were up towards the north of the country and the very short window between sunset and sunrise it does not get trully dark for the night scapes, however i still managed to get a few shots that i am happy with. this is a beautifull landscape carved by ice and water a feature that is so obvious from the views across the valleys and up along the cliffs spanning the length of the hope valley. i will return to this magnificant place for another week of exploring and photography hopefully during cooler days, temperatures hit 31 degrees on two of them and only dropped to around 26 on the cooler ones. Far to hot to be walking the trails. the light was kind to us for a couple of days but then cloud covered the region bringing any hope of prime light and night scapes to an abrupt end. planning a few days down in the west of cornwall for the next trip hoping to get nice dark skies with again tremendous views to work with.
