beautifull day and stunning views. Sadly i did not get to fly the drone due to wind conditions and an awfull lot of people out making good use of the winter sunshine. I will visit again with tintention of getting the drone in the air and cannot wait to see this magnificent landscape from above.

A week on Dartmoor. A rare occasion when we were blessed with clear dark sies on 5 out of 6 nights. Some fantastic locations and many already planned for our next trip down to this amazing park.

An afternoon at Arundel Wetlands and Wildfowl trust. A lovely place for a peaceful stroll and fantastic for photography with the migratory birds now starting to arrive. The pelicans of course the highlight at the moment.

I made a promise to myself that i would get back out with my cameras this year and try do something practical again . Unfortunatly due to shielding and lockdowns i had to postpone any chance of a trip. However i finaly got down to the severn sisters country park last night for a little night photography, not what i had originaly hoped for as we had a full moon and very few visible stars in the sky, however this made for and interesting night with some fascinating results. My good friend Gary and myself out on the beach at 21:30 untill about 23:30 working under the moonlight and it is trully amazing how much light is reflected back to our planet on a full moon night as the images reflect. Really nice to get back out with the cameras again as it has been a while due to other commitments. This is a beautifell peacefull place to work at his time of night. We will return on a night with no moon with the hope of capturing the milky way in all it's glory.

now back from my 5 days in the peak district sadly back to normaliity, some of the images have now been proccessed and posted, as always on a trip like this a large part of it is learning the landscape and how the light plays upon it, due to the fact that we were up towards the north of the country and the very short window between sunset and sunrise it does not get trully dark for the night scapes, however i still managed to get a few shots that i am happy with. this is a beautifull landscape carved by ice and water a feature that is so obvious from the views across the valleys and up along the cliffs spanning the length of the hope valley. i will return to this magnificant place for another week of exploring and photography hopefully during cooler days, temperatures hit 31 degrees on two of them and only dropped to around 26 on the cooler ones. Far to hot to be walking the trails. the light was kind to us for a couple of days but then cloud covered the region bringing any hope of prime light and night scapes to an abrupt end. planning a few days down in the west of cornwall for the next trip hoping to get nice dark skies with again tremendous views to work with.

Day three of my photography trip in the Peak District and what a scorcher. Clear blue skies and temperatures as high as 30 degrees. Found some lovely locations and had to deal with some serious steep climbs to get to locations not so good when you are carrying 20 kilos of camera kit and I suffer from asthma and copd. Pure determination and the love of photography drove on to the summits. Plenty of work to do when I get home now some nice night sky work to process and a lot of other work to asses and process. As always I will be happy to get a few really nice images that can be framed and displayed in my study. Now sat outside my tent at 11 o'clock in darkness with a well deserved beer. 04:30 start tomorrow for first light on mam tor if weather allows. Photos should be posted over the next week or so.
