This is the face of a Labradog who's busy supervising a Pie Shoot and who has just realised that none of the pies are destined for him to test!

My darling Henry has been on his very best behaviour today and truly deserves a medal for restraint. His supervising came between snores, because its very tiring work you know! - which got very loud at times.

I know that 'feel' as I couldn't sample either and goodness they looked and smelt delicious!! But I can't do gluten .... Imagine being in a full on pie shoot where you could sample the mouthwatering goodies except you can't ..... And the edits await ....

Another great day with Turnbull's Northumbrian Food and more pics to follow.

How is your bank holiday Monday going? We opted for staying home and eating in the garden. Such a fantastic day and so rare to get a bank holiday like this!

BBQ lunch and now coffee in the shade as it’s way too hot in the sun. We have 80 degrees in the shade right now!

Henry is sitting right behind my chair sensibly in the shade at last. He wanted to toast in the sun earlier doh! He cottoned on fast though!

It's been a cherry kind of weekend here! Our local greengrocer had a special cherry deal going on and I couldn't resist!

So today I've pickled cherries for the first time ever! Hoping we like them! But they are meant to be delectable with cheese and I do love cheese so I'm hopeful....

I've more about to go into the canner some in red wine syrup and some in just a light syrup. After all you can't have the wine ones on breakfast can you? Well unless maybe its for Christmas day?

Then there's jam going on too.

Colour is so, so important when it comes to food photography and it's so often overlooked.

You don't want colours that clash or colours that are so synthetic you know what you are about to eat is full of chemicals.

But .... a bland meal, is bland to the eye and it won't stop viewers in their tracks and make them feel hungry.

A bit of colour and interest though .... that's another thing entirely and there's an art to bringing that colour to the frame and causing that desire. Beauty on a plate from

Your phone photos are doing ok. Business is ticking along. So why change anything?

Because "ok" is invisible to your ideal customer.

The people you *really* want to attract — the ones who value quality, pay full price and come back again — they're making split-second decisions based on what they see.

If your images aren't telling the right story, they scroll past. Not because your product isn't good enough. Because it doesn't *look* good enough yet.

What's one thing you wish your photos said about your business that they don't right now?

Today my Darling Boy Henry is four! And this is his second birthday with us. I'd meant for us to have some adventures today, but I've got a wretched chest infection so we've had slow wanders in the wood and cuddles in the garden instead.

It's lovely to see how he's settled in. It must be so odd being brought up as a support dog in training with a family or two, holidaying with other people and spending time at HQ, to then arrive with someone to stay forever. But how do they know that? Can they know that? It must feel very unsettling. But my boy seems to have settled in and found his space and its been interesting watching him get there.

Henry has adapted beautifully. He's everything I'd hoped for and so much more. I'd be lost now without his loving nuzzles on a morning as soon as he hears the alarm. He loves being with me and now has even begun to 'settle' at last when out, and I'm sure that's why. I did wonder if we'd ever get to that point but I think we're there which is fantastic and it means he can come out with me so much more.

He's had oodles of treats today, walks and play time and he's about to have cuddles on the sofa. I am so grateful for every day with this fabulous boy.
