I am a contemporary wedding, lifestyle and event photographer based in Coventry and working throughout the midlands, Warwickshire and beyond. I originally obtained an LL.B (Hons) and worked in law for many years, where my natural eye for detail and pursuit of perfection were put to good use. However I always fascinated by old documentary photographs, and subsequently by urban landscapes. My first
SLR accompanied me around the world, where I built up a particular interest in photographing old building facades, a journey which culminated in a trip to Ukraine where I was privileged to document the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and the abandoned city of Pripyat. In the meantime I obtained a diploma in photography, which gave me an insight into the technical side of the art including film and darkroom developing, colours, contrast and light. I then fine-tuned my photographic creativity and vision with an award-winning photography trainer - Aspire CPT. It soon became apparent that my real passion was for portraits. People intrigue me; their differences are what makes the world a more interesting place, and portraits are a lasting record of that diversity. I believe the art of photography is a combination of a million lessons - technical; artistic; creative; indeed lessons in life and lessons in people - and I hope you can see that I am passionate about my art, but more importantly about those with whom I work to produce it.
