We were off-site yesterday filming something new… the very first pilot episode of our BRAND NEW people and place based podcast...
..and it was one of those days that reminds us why we LOVE what we do. 😍

Joel and Tom were on shoulder mounts all day (and those things are no joke 🎥💪🏼), capturing everything so beautifully while keeping the energy steady behind the scenes.

Chloe was in full producer mode... running the day, watching the details, making sure every moment landed the way it should, and looking after our flock.

And Ashleigh King… her wonderful, magical self, hosted the episode so beautifully.💖 The way she holds a conversation and makes people feel completely at ease is such a gift. 🥰

We can’t say much about this new series just yet... it’s still under wraps, but it already feels really special. 👀 🎙️

Oooookay, what’s all this then? 👀

At Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio, we are HUGE fans of custom podcast set design — and when we design sets… we really design them.

For Season 6 of Square One Law | B Corp™'s podcast, Fear Less, Do More, it was time for a fresh new look, and honestly? We had SO much fun bringing this one to life.

From concept to construction, every detail was lovingly obsessed over. Angles? Perfected. Colours? Flowing. Props? Placed with purpose. Vibes? Immaculate.

These shots are a little peek through the lens, exactly how we see the set while we’re building it. Cameras out, team huddled around the monitor, stepping into the client’s shoes and checking EVERYTHING...

Framing, furniture spacing, sightlines, the lot.

Because great sets don’t just look good on camera — they feel right too 🥰

Back in the studio and it feels GOOD 😍

The first week back after the festive pause has been a gentle one — fewer bookings, more breathing room, and space to return to why we built Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio in the first place....

This week we turned the cameras inward and spent time recording our founder, Ashleigh King's podcast, Nurture Your Zest Podcast! 🎙️🌵

We sat down with an ordained minister, a community film club founder, a business bottleneck clinic, and a PR creative strategist, each bringing their own perspective, stories, and questions to the table!

Together we explored themes of meaning, creativity, burnout, belief, separation, and what it takes to keep showing up when life gets prickly.

The studio has been quietly buzzing again, sets being built by hand, mics warming up, ideas stretching their legs. 😍

Here’s to slow starts, intentional conversations, and a year of stories worth listening to..

This year hasn’t been without its challenges for our flock…

Months of noisy works right outside our doors meant we had to press pause on recordings for a while...

Still, we kept moving forward behind the scenes!

In 2025, we were privileged to support so many incredible podcast projects, working with inspiring voices and ambitious ideas. Some of the highlights included:

- Nurture Your Zest Podcast, our founder Ashleigh King's podcast, which made a triumphant comeback, sharing inspiring stories of authenticity and creativity 🌵

- Chats with Changemakers with Junction Point CIC, exploring the journeys of social entrepreneurs across the North East

- Fear Less, Do More, recording two new seasons for Square One Law | B Corp™. It's always a pleasure to work on this one!

- Big River Rising, for Big River Bakery, showcasing community-driven change

- Rising Waters, in partnership with the Environment Agency, addressing the urgent issue of flooding

- Flow Mobile Surveying's podcast, Modern Compliance Podcast, an insightful podcast exploring the current trends in the health and safety industry.

…as well as many other amazing podcasts and productions. Every single client, past and present, is the reason we do what we do...your stories, courage, and creativity make our work meaningful. 💖

Despite some hurdles that came our way, we also took the opportunity to reinvest in the studio itself...

We made some exciting upgrades, including brand-new acoustic wall paneling, elevating both the look and the sound of the space. 😍

Feeling so inspired after Junction Point CIC’s Social Enterprise Day 2025! 💖

Ashleigh had such an amazing time connecting with purpose-led organisations, CICs, and charities. She loved catching Dan Makaveli’s talk (after some coaching sessions together) and chatting to visitors at our exhibition stand about podcasting.!🎙️

The day was full of energy, ideas, and reminders about resilience, flexibility, and the importance of asking: “If not you, who?” 💪
