Looking back on these, I am reminded of the people I met today 4years ago. It was an opportunity to have great conversations with about their own struggles for freedom and justice in their countries.

To my South Sudan friends, I pray for an end to the killings of your people. For peace and understanding between different tribes in your lands.

To my Myanmar friends, I pray for an end to persecution of Rohingya people who are the most persecuted people on the planet.

To my Palestine family, I pray for an end to occupation and colonialism that gives birth to the worst racism that harms generations to come and even psychological damage to both victims and perpetrators. I pray for the walls of Gaza that imprison you to fall. For healing of the pain and suffering you have gone through.

To my academic friends in Middle Eastern politics and African politics to continue research that bring lasting solutions to achieving regional peace and international peace.

To my Australian sisters, to fight institutional racism that has allowed the detaining of refugees seeking refuge on a remote island off the shores of Australia and are subjected to forms of human rights violations. I pray for equality & justice for people of colour. I will always remember your Sorry Day campaign, profound and inspiring. I wish the same for my country for atrocities that we must and are yet to say sorry to enable the healing journey to begin and find closure.

It's been 4 years since we met and learned from each other. These images remind me of our unity in fighting for freedoms we need to achieve peace.
