The last few months, I’ve found myself longing for slow, analogue ways of working.

I think it’s a response to AI, and the continuing decline in the value of photography - an art form that has become a commodity.

I’m interested in the pursuit of friction and slowness. A way of working that demands more attention. Where you need to make the most of every frame.

You get 12 shots on a roll of 120 from this 6x6 Bronica SQ-A. A camera that was manufactured 44 years ago.

It demands intentionality and focus. This feels like a new era.

The villa where we stayed, bathed in the soft morning light, its white rendered walls and blue skies unmistakably Mediterranean.

Spent a couple hours at at the weekend shooting some racing with a camera entirely unsuited to it. It was great.

On day two we got soaked to the bone and realised we needed to upgrade our waterproofs. The weather is what defined our trip, and indeed defines these islands. Makes the sunshine even sweeter when you’ve earned it.
