🚗 VIP COMPLIMENTARY CREATIVE PORTRAIT PHOTOSHOOTS 🚗
Now it's time for the boys! ❤️📸
As I continue creating the very first gallery for my brand-new photography studio in the heart of Consett, I'm opening another limited number of VIP Complimentary Photoshoot opportunities, and this time, I'm looking for boys of different ages to help me create some really interesting portraits.
I already have LOTS of ideas for these sessions, including one I've wanted to create for a while involving my little red car, some vintage styling and perhaps a flat cap or two! 🚗😂
But just like my previous creative portrait call, I don't want every photoshoot to look the same.
I want to create portraits that celebrate different ages, styles, interests and personalities, and show that children's portraiture can be so much more than simply standing in front of a camera and smiling. ❤️
🚗 BOYS OF DIFFERENT AGES, STYLES & PERSONALITIES
I'd especially love to hear from families with:
✨ Younger boys who would love getting involved in something creative
✨ School-age boys with BIG personalities!
✨ Older boys and pre-teens who have developed their own interests and style
✨ Boys who would look fantastic in some vintage-inspired styling
✨ Boys who practically live in jeans, trainers or their favourite hoodie!
✨ Sporty, creative, colourful, alternative or completely individual personalities
✨ Boys with hobbies or interests that are a huge part of who they are
✨ Confident characters who absolutely LOVE the camera
✨ Quieter or more reserved personalities who might create something completely different ❤️
I'm also really keen for my new studio gallery to represent different ages, appearances, hair types, skin tones and backgrounds.
There isn't one particular "look" I'm searching for.
The whole point is variety. ❤️
📸 THIS ISN'T ABOUT FITTING A PARTICULAR "LOOK"
One of the portraits I really want to create is inspired by classic, vintage children's photography.
I'm picturing my little red car, perhaps some tweed, braces, a shirt, a flat cap and lots of character. 🚗
For the right child, I think it could look absolutely fantastic.
But that doesn't mean that's what every boy's photoshoot needs to look like.
Maybe they'd love the vintage idea.
Maybe they'd rather wear their favourite football shirt.
Maybe they're never out of a tracksuit.
Maybe they love bright colours, trainers and clothes they've chosen themselves.
Maybe there's a particular hobby, sport, instrument or interest that is basically their entire personality at the moment. 😂❤️
I don't want to dress every boy up to fit the photograph. I want to create the photograph around them.
Their style.
Their personality.
Their interests.
Them. ❤️
🚗 A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE CREATIVE IDEAS
My little red car will definitely be making an appearance in some of these sessions, and I already have ideas for creating a really characterful vintage-inspired portrait with it.
But I'd also like to mix things up.
I have black, white and grey backgrounds available for simpler, more contemporary portraits, and I'd love to experiment with different outfits, poses, styling and ideas depending on the person standing in front of my camera.
Some photographs might have a vintage feel.
Some might be simple and timeless.
Some might be bold and full of personality.
And some ideas might develop completely differently once we start shooting!
The inspiration photographs used in my graphic are there to show some of the styles and ideas that have inspired me. They aren't photographs I intend to recreate exactly.
I want us to take that inspiration and create something of our own. ❤️📸
👕 A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT OUTFITS & STYLING
If selected, I'll chat with you beforehand about clothing and ideas for the session.
And please don't feel you need to go out and buy a new outfit.
I'd actually much rather see a few options that already represent the person I'm photographing.
If that's a smart shirt and trousers, fantastic.
If it's jeans and a hoodie, fantastic.
If they have something that works perfectly with the vintage idea, I definitely want to see it!
And if it's an outfit they picked themselves and practically live in, send me that too. 😂❤️
You're very welcome to send me photographs of a few different outfit options beforehand and we can decide together what might work with the different setups.
The styling should complement the person in the photograph, not disguise who they are.

Those selected will be invited into my new Consett studio before the official opening for a completely complimentary photoshoot.

There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything.
All I ask is that you're genuinely interested in working with me to create some wonderful images and are happy for the photographs to be used by Abigail Thompson Photography, including online, within my portfolio and marketing, and potentially displayed within the studio.

And please don't rule somebody out because they're shy, don't normally enjoy having their photograph taken, won't smile on command or have never had a professional photoshoot.
They don't need modelling experience.
They don't need to know how to pose.
And they definitely don't need to turn up in a flat cap! 😂🚗
I'm looking for different ages, different appearances, different styles and, most importantly, different personalities to help me create a children's portrait collection that celebrates them exactly as they are. ❤️
📍 PLEASE NOTE — STUDIO ACCESSIBILITY
My new studio is located in the heart of Consett town centre and is situated on the first floor with stair access only; unfortunately, there is no lift available.
I want to make sure everyone is aware of this before expressing an interest in a session, particularly where mobility or accessibility may need to be considered. ❤️
🐾 PLEASE NOTE — PET-FRIENDLY STUDIO
Abigail Thompson Photography is a pet-friendly studio, and animals will regularly be welcomed into the space. ❤️🐾
Pet and non-pet sessions will be scheduled separately to allow time for the studio to be thoroughly cleaned between them, as I'm aware some customers may have allergies to pets.
While every reasonable effort will be made to clean the studio thoroughly, I cannot guarantee that the space will be completely free from pet hair or other animal allergens.
If you or somebody attending your session has a severe animal allergy, please take this into consideration before expressing an interest or booking. A pet-friendly studio environment may not be suitable for you, and I would recommend choosing a photographer who works from a pet-free space.
Your comfort and safety will always be more important to me than taking a booking. ❤️
