We don’t just plonk a baby into position. ☺️

We persuade baby to settle where we’d like, and that can take a while. ⏰⏳

Babies have immature nervous systems that cause reactions to the smallest movements.

So I make sure I am considerate and gentle, and make sure baby is disturbed as little as possible, no matter how long that takes.

When I work with a baby I get to know them. Learn their temperament. Read their needs.

It’s not just about getting the photos, it’s about respect for the person in my hands.

Parents want the images, but more than that, they want their baby to be safe and looked after while in the hands of someone else.

When you watch me work with babies you can learn more than posing. You learn how I move my hands. How I use touch to read baby. You’ll learn so much that’s almost more important that the mechanics of whet I do.

The frog pose is like marmite, and I’m good with that.

What I’m not good with, is ignorant people telling me they know more than me on whether it’s ok or not.

I have been booked by midwives, paediatricians, and nurses for their own babies, and they’ve watched me do this and been perfectly happy with my methods.

Babies are content and safe. Always. ❤️
