I’ve loved getting to know Dorfold - Cripps & Co this year, the new Cripps & Co venue in Cheshire.

I think this photograph sums up the evening rather nicely. Drinks in hand, shoes still on (for now), and straight back to the party.

A properly lovely day with a great team behind it too. Wedding Hair Makeup Manchester | Bridal Artist Mindset Mentor took care of the girls in the morning and, apparently, you need to ask her about ‘hybrid hair’. IYKYK.

Michelle Stephenson | Floral design made Swanley look even more stunning, while .co, Florence & Vera Events and Jen at Swanley kept everything running seamlessly throughout the day.

Then Weddings & Events Function Band took over for the evening. Exactly the sort of wedding where the photographs become a little less polished and a lot more fun as the night goes on.

Which is usually a very good sign.

I really like keeping bridal portraits during prep simple. Find the good light, give a little direction where it helps, then leave plenty of room for things to feel natural.

This one at Dorfold Hall was made for black and white. Soft window light, the veil, and a lovely simplicity to the whole frame.
