What a morning it was! Laughter, hugs, tears, cheers, coloured powder everywhere and memories being made from start to finish. After years of lessons, exams, friendships and countless school-day adventures, it was finally time for the Class of 2026 to walk out together.

It's always a privilege to capture these moments, but this one felt extra special. The excitement, the emotion and the absolute chaos when the powder came out made for a fantastic morning and a reminder of just how important these memories are.

Needed to give my eyes a break from the editing screen this evening, so I took a wander up to the Colne Grand Prix.

No big camera, no lenses, no editing... just the phone in my pocket and somehow managed to grab this little snap. 📸🚴

I'm absolutely shattered now after another busy day, so it's an early night for me. 😴

But don't worry... first thing tomorrow morning I'll give you a little peep from this morning's goings on at Colne Park High School. 👀

🎓✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽! ✨🎓

Well, Park High Year 11... you've done it.

Another year of shirt signing, colour powder, laughter, hugs, a few tears and a whole lot of memories made. It's always a privilege to be part of your leavers' day and to capture these moments before you all head off on your next adventures.

I think it's fair to say I got just as covered in powder as some of you this year! 😂📸

A huge good luck to each and every one of you for whatever comes next. Whether it's college, apprenticeships, work or something completely different, go and smash it.

I'll be working through today's photos as fast as I can, but please bear with me. It's one of the busiest times of the year with leavers' events, proms, weddings, tournaments and everything else happening at once. I promise I'm on it! 😊

📸💷 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 💷📸

Apparently, after spending countless hours standing on muddy football touchlines, editing thousands of images and uploading galleries, I've discovered a fascinating business model...

People screenshotting photos and helping themselves to them for free. 🤦‍♀️😂🤣

As a result, I've had to diversify my income streams and take on a little side hustle helping families save money on their household bills!

The good news is that unlike screenshots, this one is completely legitimate. 😆

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗺𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆... 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗜!❤️

No more school runs, no more parents' evenings and no more frantic Sunday afternoons ironing school uniforms.

At one stage, Sundays consisted of ironing 25 shirts, 25 pairs of pants and somehow making sure we had enough socks to get through the week. Looking back, I don't know where all those school socks disappeared to. There must be a secret sock dimension somewhere full of Clark family school socks. 😂

Whilst it's exciting to see him heading off into his next chapter, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling emotional about it all.

For the last 20 years, Laneshaw Bridge Primary School and Colne Park High School have been a huge part of our family life. They haven't just educated my boys, they've helped shape the young men they've become.

I've also been incredibly fortunate to serve as a governor at both schools, giving me a privileged insight into the dedication, hard work and care that happens behind the scenes every single day. It's allowed me to witness school life from a completely different perspective, join school trips, support school events and, of course, capture so many special moments through my camera for families to get a peep too and treasure the memories for years to come.

A huge thank you to all the teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, site staff, dinner ladies, governors and leaders who have played a part in our family's journey over the years. Some of you I now proudly consider friends. Thank you for the care, support, encouragement and patience you've shown, not just to my boys but to generations of children who have walked through those school gates.

As a photographer, memories mean everything to me. The photos, the friendships, the achievements, the laughter, even the moments that seem ordinary at the time. One day they're the things you'll look back on and realise were actually the important bits.

So to every child finishing primary school and preparing for the adventure of high school, and to every young person leaving high school for college, apprenticeships, university, employment or whatever path comes next, I wish you all the very best of luck.

Be brave, be kind, work hard and make memories.

It's been an absolute privilege sharing part of your journey with so many of you over the years.

And finally...

🎓 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 2026 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄! 🎓

It's that time of year again when tissues are at the ready and proud parents wonder where the years have gone.

Tomorrow I'll be at Colne Park High School capturing their Year 11 leavers as they finish one chapter and begin the next. Then on Wednesday I'll be heading over to Fisher More RC High School for their walk out and guard of honour.

These days are always some of my favourites to photograph. There are smiles, tears, hugs, laughter and plenty of memories being made. Moments that seem small at the time but become priceless a few years down the line.

Please let your child know that I'm there for them and to capture their memories of the day. If they'd like a specific photo with their friends, teachers, siblings or anyone else, please tell them not to be shy and just come and ask. I'd much rather they ask than miss out on a photo they'll treasure in years to come. 📸❤️

And if you're attending, try to put the phones away for a few minutes and soak it all in. Be present. Cheer them on. Give them a hug. Live the moment with them rather than through a screen.

Leave the memory-capturing to me and I'll make sure you're in some of those memories too.

🐦⚽ 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁...

I was stood on the centre circle chatting to the referee about the imminent penalty shootout when he suddenly says:

"There's a parrot on your shoulder!"

Naturally, I assumed that William Peacock had completely lost the plot. 🤔😂

I turned around and, sure enough, there was a budgie happily perched on my shoulder.

The little fella then proceeded to flap around the William for a bit, which was highly entertaining and probably not something covered in the FA rulebook. 🤣

The best bit was all the kids playing nearby asking, "Is it yours?" as it happily sat there on my shoulder. 😂 Sorry kids, I arrived with cameras, not a pet budgie! 🤣

Anyway, here's our unexpected feathered spectator for the day. The owner has now been located, but at the time of writing he's still at large and refusing to return to the dugout. 🐦💨

If anyone spots him negotiating a transfer deal with one of the teams, let us know! ⚽😂

📸⚽ 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻! ⚽📸

Today I'm flying solo at the Colne FC Juniors U13 Tournament, with the first games kicking off at 10am at Holt House.

Even if you haven't got a team playing, why not pop up and join in the fun? There's plenty going on throughout the day, a fantastic atmosphere, and some brilliant grassroots football to enjoy. There's also some very yummy food on offer 😉

A huge good luck to all the teams taking part today. Play hard, play fair and most importantly, enjoy every minute of it! 💪⚽🏆
