⛈️ Never let the weather get you down ⛈️
It's very easy to imagine your perfect wedding day. Key ingredients usually include:
- the bride looks beautiful (natch) 👰🏼
- everyone is getting on like a 🏠 on 🔥
- The 🍗🐟🍨 is delish 😋
- the weather is clear, warm and sunny ☀️
But what happens when the weather doesn't go according to plan? 🤔 Well, the truth is, nothing changes!
The day continues as planned. Everyone has a thoroughly delightful time, they're all talking about how wonderful your first dance was 💃🏽🕺🏾 and how delicious the cake was, for years to come. The weather... doesn't really register ☀️
Certainly, when it comes to filming weddings the rain holds no fears (barring monsoon weather of course 🙈). Rain produced puddles 🌊 raindrops on windows 💦 splashes in fountains ⛲ and allows couples to utilise the lesser-spotted white umbrella ☔ which can usually found grazing in its natural habitat, the wedding venue 💒
Of course, the things I film will be different in wetter conditions, but they're there to be embraced and can often make for a much more artistic aesthetic. Some of my favourite wedding films have been shot in the rain, when the couple fully embrace the conditions! 📽️
The truth is, this is going to be one of the greatest days of your lives. No amount of rain can spoil that. As Lauren and Jordan will tell you, embrace the weather. Keep on smiling 😊
