Alice & Josh 🤍

The day before Father’s Day and the start of the heatwave gave us the perfect weather for this incredible River Barn wedding ☀️

What started with low cloud quickly turned into glorious sunshine as Alice and Josh celebrated with family and friends at one of Lancashire’s most beautiful wedding venues.

From emotional first reveals and confetti cannons, to lawn games, champagne sprays, golden hour portraits and an amazing evening party, this wedding had everything.

One of our favourite moments was capturing Alice and Josh’s private dance during their room reveal completely by chance whilst the indoor drone was already in the air. Those natural moments are often the best ones.

A huge thank you to Alice & Josh for choosing us to capture your day. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of it.

Your wedding day should feel like a wedding, not a film shoot.

One of the biggest concerns couples have is being taken away from their guests for long periods of time. That is why we prefer to capture beautiful footage in short, relaxed sessions throughout the day, usually no more than ten minutes at a time.

It gives you the chance to step away from the crowds, catch your breath, spend a few moments together, and actually enjoy being newly married. At the same time, we can capture your story in different locations and different light as the day unfolds.

This moment with Joshua and Jessica at Merrydale Manor came just after the wedding breakfast as we took a gentle stroll down to the venue’s famous lake. The light was changing, the pace of the day had slowed, and for a few minutes it was just the two of them reflecting on everything that had happened so far.

These are often the moments that become couples’ favourites. Natural, relaxed, and completely authentic.

Everyone knows the secret to good weather on your wedding day. Bury a sausage the night before.

What nobody seems to know is whether a Waitrose sausage works any better than an Asda value one. The jury is still out on that.

While sunshine is always welcome on a wedding day, it does not always create the best conditions for photographs and film. Strong sunlight can lead to harsh shadows, guests squinting, and contrast that takes away from those beautiful moments.

That is why we are always looking for areas of soft, flattering light. At the Shireburn Arms, Jack and Jen had the perfect solution. The beautiful trees in the field behind the venue provided just the right amount of shade, creating a natural and timeless setting for their wedding film.

Of course, what you do not see in the finished film is the brief moment of panic when Jack suddenly announced he had lost his wedding ring. Hearts stopped. A frantic search began. Thankfully, the ring was found, and normal service resumed.

Sometimes the best wedding stories are the ones that almost did not happen.

Victoria and Daniel’s confetti walk at Mitton Hall was the perfect combination of great planning, a beautiful location, and guests who understood the assignment.

Working alongside your photographer, we help position your confetti walk in the most picturesque area available, making sure the backdrop looks every bit as good as the moment feels. But our job does not stop there.

Before the action starts, everyone gets a quick demonstration on how to throw confetti properly. Up into the air, not straight at the happy couple. Trust us, nobody wants their wedding photos to include a mouthful of confetti.

A little guidance goes a long way towards creating those cinematic moments full of colour, laughter, and genuine celebration.

Jourdan & Cristiano 🤍

A little cloud was forecast, a little rain was expected… instead we got sunshine, blue skies, and a perfect day at Mitton Hall ☀️

With family travelling over from Italy, emotional vows, a stunning veil flowing in the breeze, fantastic speeches, and a dance floor packed from the first dance onwards, this was such a fun wedding to be part of.

One of our favourite moments was the huge celebration during the drone group shot. Cristiano’s Italian family certainly understood the assignment 🇮🇹🎉

A huge thank you to Jourdan & Cristiano for choosing us to capture your day, and to the amazing team at Mitton Hall who continue to make every wedding there run so smoothly.

Last Friday I was back at Bartle Hall Hotel for Jack & Megan’s incredible wedding day. ✨
What a day this was. From the moment preparations began right through to the evening celebrations, there was so much laughter, energy and personality packed into every moment.
Bartle Hall continues to get better and better, and the new entrance into the evening reception room is absolutely stunning – a fantastic addition to an already brilliant venue. Thanks to the staff for looking after us so well.
Jack & Megan wanted something a little different for their teaser film, so alongside all the big moments and celebrations, I filmed some mini interviews with the bridal party inspired by The Office. It made for a very different teaser than the usual romantic style, but honestly, it suited the atmosphere of the day perfectly. So much fun and plenty of laughs throughout.
A special mention to the fabulous Liz Hendry, who played piano beautifully during the ceremony, and the multi-talented Alex Birtwell, who kept guests entertained from the drinks reception right through into the evening.
Congratulations again, Jack & Megan – thank you for letting me be part of such a brilliant day. ❤️
