Are you an unintentional photo-bomber?! Vergers, venue staff and more...we love you all! You make our day so much easier to manage but there is just ONE thing that makes life very difficult...when you stand at the back during that moment when the couple see each other as they're walking down the aisle with their special person (beit their father, brother, mother etc). You standing right in the middle of the bride and chosen person is probably not what they are wanting to see! We love you but PLEASE stand to the side!!

Every now and again, you have a day that does nothing but make you smile. Jen and Chris' wedding was relaxed, emotional and joyous to be part of. A special thanks to The Bridge Hotel and Spa whose staff were so welcoming, friendly and efficient!

One of the best things about the Manor House Lindley is it's what I'd call a 'weatherproof' venue. Every room is different and beautiful. A bit of a drizzly day yesterday for Natalie & Wayne's wedding but as well as the beautiful Coach House and 'that bar' we had the Lantern Room which is where they had their wedding breakfast. Just stunning!

This is so true...

I have a phone that I wont upgrade yet as it has voicemails from my Mum and Dad (now sadly passed) I never want to lose those and listen to them from time to time just to hear their voices, so will record them in the end and keep them digitally somehow.
I also have a recording of my sons heartbeat taken at our first scan.. it's priceless to me.. I so wish I had video of my parents..

My tag line for my business is 'let's make your memories last forever..

Food for thought and not just a sales pitch...

Over the last couple of weeks, we (Ben Cu***ng Photography and I) have had several clients asking if we managed to film certain parts of their day, despite not booking anything.

Sadly, the answer is always going to be NO.

This is not just a side-hustle or a hobby. This is my job and also my livelihood. I adore what I do but I cannot do it for free. The equipment, the time, the experience, the training, the business ownership, the editing and everything else all comes at a cost.

I know it is easy for someone like to me to pipe on about the necessity for videography on your wedding day BUT we continue to receive messages from clients who regret not booking a videographer, when they were considering one. I will always do whatever I can to support in ensuring you have the most magical day but if you want it filming, PLEASE stop relying on your mate with a phone. The footage will never materialise. People forget, get drunk and don't always understand the importance of capturing those memories.

Steven & Joanne were married last week at the The Three Acres and it was an absolute washout weather wise ☔️⛈️. I even ended up leaving a little early as there was nothing else I could do with them.. We agreed to meet up this evening after the little man's cricket awards to have a quick 1/2hr golden hour shoot as I only live 15 mins away. So pleased to have been able to grab a fantastic set of images to finish off their gallery perfectly around the grounds of The Three Acres

Yesterday took us to the beautiful Silvertini - Restaurant & Florist located above Waterton Park Golf Club . It was a bit of a soggy one! The rain stopped *just* long enough to get the bits that we needed. Huge congratulations to Abbie & Thomas. What a great crowd. Also big thanks to Jess a.k.a my lighting assistant and rally buggy driver! 😅

Yesterday, we had the honour of capturing Eleanor & John's wedding. It was so wonderful to work with a couple who were confident, comfortable, gracious and generous. With an autumnal colour scheme (to match Eleanor's auburn hair!) it is one of my favourite wedding colour schemes and the whole day was just a joy to shoot!

A special mention to Mosborough Hall who were welcoming, professional and regularly checked in with us. Oh! And the flowers from Sarah's Florist were spectacular!
