Our kids will never know what they're missing out on not having a 'Park' now to grow up in. Looking at these pictures takes me right back to so many memories. This was some place.

Morning everyone. I hope you're all keeping well. I'm not really active on here at the moment, mainly because life is pretty busy and I haven't touched my camera in months. But hopefully that'll change once the days get shorter. For now here's a Throwback from a spectacular morning at wastwater and Wasdale 3 years ago today. This was just a stroke of luck coming across this scene on my way as I usually come in through Gosforth and come out right at the shore. But as often happens with me, I missed the turn and went into my own world and ended up halfway up hardknott pass before I remembered where I was going and turned around. This shot was actually an unintentional copy of a brilliant shot in the same place and conditions a month or so earlier by , but seeing this infront of me I couldn't really not stop and take the shot.

Good morning, it's been a while since I've posted anything, but with the football season kicking off the same time as the restrictions lifted I've had no time to dust the camera off.
But, recently I had the pleasure of being asked to restore an old image taken in the 1940's for a friend.

Tidied up the rips and stains and converted it to colour to try and give it a bit more life.

If anyone would like any old photos restored please do get in touch, you'll get a digital copy of the updated image and also a print for you to keep.

A very old Throwback today seen as I don't take pictures anymore apparently 🤣.
I hope you're all keeping safe and well.
Occasionally you take an image which really stands out to you for whatever reason, for me this is an image which I fell in love with, it looks lovely printed and isn't necessarily the best picture you'll see, but it's certainly one that gives me a lot of satisfaction. It was taken on a beautifully mucky morning in October 18 ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️⠀⠀

Having just seen post this morning reminding me that it's 2 years since this amazing morning on Gummers How I figured I'd share a few of mine. It's scary how fast that two years has gone to be honest. Terrifying infact. It seems like yesterday and so much has changed. I've also thrown in the shot of Royce being creepy in the misty Woods.

Good morning, throwback to three years ago to the day, a freezing cold winter morning down by the lake with the drone (long before I lost it somewhere on Loughrigg 🤣)
A good lesson came from this day that what is acceptable to view on a phone screen isnt always 'good' enough. I was delighted with the first image when I'd taken it, rushed home, printed it, and it was hurrendous. Soft, wrong shutter speed, completely unusable.

Tonight’s TBT is back almost 3 years to the day on my one and only visit to this amazing place with .
Miles from anywhere and not another soul in sight, it was a beautiful winter morning. Definitely need to revisit this place over the winter again. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️

Me again!!

I’m often asked the question by people “How can you go out with the camera and just stand in one place for 2/3 hours?”
I guess it’s a bit like fishing in that regard. But you get to where you need to be and you know where the light is going to go, just not IF you’re going to get any. So it’s often a waiting game. But what a place to sit and watch the day begin.
 I thought this scene was a perfect example of how the light completely changes any scene, last Wednesday morning with and we went to Rydal and never moved for around two and a half hours. I took a fair few images while stood there and these three are more or less the same composition, but taken over two hours. The whole landscape changes with the sun, creating completely different feelings from each image for me.

Another old one today, only coz it popped up on my memories and it reminded me what a beautiful place the river Brathay is and that I haven't been for a couple of years. I need to fix that. Definitely one of my top three places to spend a morning. ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️

Morning everyone, just before we were locked down, myself and had a little trip out to Rydal water for sunrise. Unfortunately I won't be milking these ones for weeks because we spent most of the time talking about everything other than taking pictures and just settled on this one composition. Although the changing angle of the rising Sun does give you a few different looks of the same scene.
