June is now fully booked and July is almost full, so I thought it would be nice to reward those of you who love to plan ahead.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a Newborn, Maternity, Family or Pet Portrait session, now is a great time to secure your date for August.

Any shoot booked before midnight on 21st June will receive 2 complimentary digital images on top of whichever collection you choose after viewing your photographs. That’s an extra £100 worth of images at no additional cost.

As always, there is no pressure to decide on your collection until you’ve seen your finished gallery at your Viewing and Ordering Appointment.

One of the things I always talk about with my Personal Branding clients is this:

The best branding photographs aren’t just about how you look.

They’re about showing people who you are, what you do, and what it feels like to work with you.

That’s why I love photographing people in spaces that genuinely reflect their business and personality.

For some clients, that’s a beautiful home office.

For others, it’s a treatment room, workshop, kitchen, studio or outdoor location.

And now, for health, fitness and wellness professionals, I can also offer a private gym setting right here at our farm in Stoke By Clare, Suffolk.

Having a variety of locations available gives us so much flexibility when planning your shoot. We can create a gallery of images that feels authentic, professional and full of personality, without the added cost and logistics of hiring multiple venues.

Something most people don't know about me...

When I first started photography, I genuinely thought I was going to become a Black & White photographer.

I loved how emotional those images felt. How they stripped everything back to connection, expression and storytelling. At the time I was completely obsessed with Helen Bartlett's family photography and if I'm honest, I think I was trying to recreate that same feeling in my own work.

Then one of my friends, Mary, said something that completely changed my perspective:

"It's such a shame to miss out on all the beautiful colours in the world."

And that one sentence really stayed with me.

Over time, I started seeing colour differently. The softness of skin tones, warm evening light, muted greens on the farm, the tiny colour details that make an image feel alive and connected to a memory.

Now I'm actually known for my soft colour palette, which feels quite ironic considering where I started.

These days I rarely convert images to Black & White unless the emotion or lighting really calls for it. I also don't automatically provide both versions of every image because I genuinely don't believe every photograph works well in Black & White. Sometimes colour tells the story better, sometimes Black & White does.

But I'd really love to know what you think.

If you were booking a photographer, would you expect both colour and Black & White versions of every image as standard?

Or would you rather the photographer choose the version they feel works best artistically?

I'm genuinely curious to hear people's opinions on this one.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m having a blast!
But I definitely didn’t pack the right clothes! I was all set for a cold weather but didn’t plan for this heat wave. And for once, I’m grateful that it’s not as hot here as it is in England.

Want to know what really happens during one of my Family photoshoots?

It’s usually a mix of gentle guidance, little moments of chaos, children running off in the wrong direction, cuddles, games, bribes, laughter, and those quiet in-between moments that often end up becoming the favourites.

Of course we’ll get some beautiful smiling photos where everyone is looking at the camera, but I’m also watching for the connection between you. The way your child reaches for your hand, the look between siblings, the giggles that happen when nobody realises I’m photographing them.

A lot of families tell me beforehand that they’re worried their children won’t sit still long enough, or that they’re too shy, too energetic, or too unpredictable. Honestly, that’s completely normal, and I never expect children to behave like tiny adults during a shoot.

As a Family photographer based in Stoke By Clare, Suffolk, I gently guide where needed, but I also leave space for natural moments to unfold. That’s where the magic usually happens.

These are the moments that will matter more and more as the years pass.

Thinking about doing a pet portrait photo shoot with your dog?

Most people picture a perfectly behaved dog, sitting still and looking at the camera. But that is not what always creates the best images.

It is the head tilt, the focus, the way they move. The split second before they chase the ball. The way they look at you when they think no one is watching.

That is where the magic is.

I am not looking for perfection. I am looking for personality. The real moments that show who your dog actually is and how they fit into your family.
