Could not believe the weather, drove through what seemed to be every season getting here, but the weather was lovely and sunny when I got there. Cartmels final race of 2026 and think the winners were all different trainers and jockeys. Lovely horses, hopefully all went home safely. Took my rescue dog the hooligan that is Maple and she was a little star, think she loves horse racing as much as me.

A trip to Warwickshire as part of racehorse week, luckily before the weather changed, even though they are in need of rain for the land. Some famous names and names that I will be following for the next season.
Lovely day and beautiful horses, must say watching them at home is the best. Hundreds of people hopefully now will realise how loved our racehorses are.

Managed to pick a sunny day, well after a downpour as we arrived. Went with a friend who had picked out Maltese Cross as her horse to follow at the beginning of the flat season and he did her proud. The big race, Juddmonte was won by the sponsors horse, Item, so won there money back.

Well this trip has taken awhile to organise but definitely worth the wait, what a lovely setting, alot of different animals, great people and very happy horses, flat and NH, what more could you ask for. Will need to visit more often then I can actually learn the horses names.

Last minute decision,
After finishing nights Thursday morning, sending a text to PKR if I wake up early Friday, I might call over, well I did so a trip over to Yorkshire, some more new horses, foals growing up, past staff joining the team again, only down side, usually takes 2 hours getting home, over 3 hours I finally made it back to Lancashire.

Lovely morning in Yorkshire, sun shining but not over hot, most of the horses finished their summer holidays, so now back in training, steady away. A walk round the fields, mares and foals, boys, girls, all looking great. Some wildlife putting in an appearance, never been so close to a hare.

At last a trip over to Yorkshire and Green Oaks.
Upgraded car so it was over to see the horses, not many in, seems to be alot out on their summer holidays, cant believe how big some of the 2 year olds are now, at last got to see Molly and her foal, even though nearly missed her in the field, stabled early morning but on my check going to the car, she was on her way back out.
