St Giles House wedding on film. A Dorset wedding venue I will never tire of photographing, every façade, every shift of light.

A balmy summer evening at Came House, where everything felt slow, soft and beautifully unforced.

Sophie and Thomas welcomed their closest family and friends to Dorset with an intimate dinner in the gardens. Speeches shared across the table, easy conversation, and that gentle golden light settling in as the evening unfolded.

We slipped away for a few quiet portraits around the grounds as the sun began to dip. Soft, unhurried, and completely them.

This is often my favourite part of a wedding to photograph. The beginning of the story, where everything still feels calm, present, and full of anticipation.

Photographed on film to preserve that softness and atmosphere exactly as it was.

For couples planning a multi-day wedding at a private country house, who care deeply about how it feels as much as how it looks.

Nothing quite beats the combination of pretty London streets, soft summer evening light and film.
I loved wandering these colourful corners of the city with & Matt, capturing a few quiet moments together as the day softened into evening. The kind of light and atmosphere that film holds onto so beautifully.

About once a year we make time to create just for the fun of it. No pressure, no agenda, no real plan for where the images will end up. Just a chance to play with our craft and inspire ourselves a little. There’s always music, food, slightly chaotic ideas and a lot of laughter.

A couple of posts back I accidentally only uploaded one of the three photographs I was talking about. Not my finest technical moment.
So if you were slightly confused, this is why.
Here they are. The full trio.
Weirdly cropped, because mixing landscape and portrait ratios on insta is the quiet bane of a photographer’s existence. But the sentiment is still there.
Three photographs that sum these two up.
The elegance.
The ease.
The way they look at each other when they think no one is watching.
Sometimes it is not about perfection. It is about the feeling.

has a way of making a wedding feel both grand and deeply personal at the same time.

Over the past ten years I have photographed more than 30 weddings here, and it still feels just as special as the first time I drove down the lane towards the house.

Today I am sharing Laura and Matt’s wedding from early last summer.

The morning was full of energy. At one point the bridesmaids were dancing around the bedroom, music on, everyone laughing. Matt and his brothers were exactly the same, relaxed, smiling and completely in their element together.

The ceremony felt tender and gentle. The speeches were packed with emotion as late afternoon light poured through the library windows. By evening the whole house felt vibrant, full of joy and movement.
No matter how many times I return here, every wedding unfolds differently. It is always a privilege to document days like this.

The other day, one of my brides shared three photographs from her wedding and it reminded me exactly why I do this.

The marketing side of this industry loves to tell wedding photographers what we should be saying. How we should be shooting. What’s trending. What’s in. What’s out this month.

After 13 years of photographing weddings, here’s what I know.

Couples do not regret choosing photographs that feel beautiful, honest and enduring. They do not look back in ten years and wish their gallery felt trend led. They want to recognise themselves. They want to feel the emotion again. They want images that still feel relevant long after the algorithm has moved on.

When my bride Jessie shared these three photographs from her wedding, I stopped in my tracks. I felt so proud and so privileged that I was the one who got to capture them. They feel exactly how her day felt. Joyful. Romantic. Completely wrapped up in each other.

That is what I care about.

I will always create work that feels elegant, emotional and timeless. Because your wedding is not content. It is your history.

And that deserves to last.
