One of England’s most beautiful castles, Leeds Castle sits on two islands in the middle of a lake in the Kent countryside, with its medieval walls and towers reflected in the water. It has a history stretching back more than 900 years, and over the centuries it’s been a royal residence, a private home and even a glamorous retreat for some of the 20th century’s wealthiest socialites.

Planning a weekend in Copenhagen? Here are a few recommendations to help you make the most of your trip 🇩🇰

• Wander the colourful waterfront at Nyhavn.
• Enjoy a Danish pastry and coffee from one of the city's many bakeries.
• Climb the Round Tower for panoramic views over Copenhagen.
• Explore Rosenborg Castle and the King's Garden.
• Visit Amalienborg Palace and Frederik's Church.
• Take a canal cruise to see the city from the water.
• Stop by the Little Mermaid (just be prepared to share it with plenty of other visitors!).
• Visit Tivoli Gardens for a unique city-centre theme park experience.
• Take the train across the Øresund Bridge to Malmö – in around 40 minutes you can explore Sweden's third-largest city and tick off a second country in the same weekend.

Copenhagen is one of those cities that's easy to fall in love with – relaxed, walkable and packed with great food, beautiful architecture and plenty to see.
