This year I hope to get back into my photography and enjoy what I love doing best with getting back out into more locations and hidden gems.

The images below are a couple trail ideas to try a bit of slow shutter photos with with different colour lights and alot trying something different.

A quiet wander around Holmfirth today with family, camera in hand and no real plan — just taking in the views, the textures, and those small in-between moments that often say the most.
A nice way to pause, reflect, and gently step into what’s next.

Today I spent some time at the stunning Harboro Rocks, camera in hand, soaking in the rugged beauty of this unique Peak District gem. The limestone outcrops, sweeping views, and ever-changing skies made it a dream for photography.

From dramatic rock formations to the peaceful rolling hills around it, every angle seemed to tell a different story.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Mattersey, Nottinghamshire, lies the captivating Mattersey Priory—a testament to England's rich monastic past. Founded in 1185 by Roger FitzRalph, this small monastery was once home to six Gilbertine canons, the only wholly English monastic order.

While the priory's church was destroyed by fire in 1279 and never rebuilt, its remaining structures, such as the 13th-century refectory and kitchen, stand strong as a reminder of the site's intriguing history. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the picturesque village of Eyam in Derbyshire, England, and I couldn't resist snapping some photos to share with you all. This historic village is nestled within the breathtaking Peak District National Park, offering a glimpse into the region's storied past and natural beauty.

As I strolled through the winding streets lined with charming stone cottages and quaint gardens, I felt transported back in time. The village's rich history is palpable, from its fascinating ties to the bubonic plague in the 17th century to its unique connection to the fluorspar industry.

My camera couldn't get enough of the idyllic scenes, from the ancient church and old-world architecture to the verdant hills and tranquil countryside.
