I was so lucky to catch these Little Grebe on River Irfon in Wales a few weeks back. Very shy birds. It was a joy to watch them diving for food. They landed right by me and I didn’t have my camera ready. When I quietly clicked it on they flew away immediately. Shot before sunrise, very dark and at 800mm f/9.0 ISO25600!!! I am amazed at the ability of both and to remove the noise. Despite the dark images it was a welcome surprise to my supposed kingfisher shoot. You can see the weekend vlog on my channel.

It’s hard to describe the sense of community and inclusion you get when you are a participant at a event but I would urge everyone to put this on your “to do” list. was an amazing experience I was delighted to share with as their photographer, my wife and even our pooch! There are so many great photography opportunities but this one sums up the symbolism of the day for me and I can’t stop sharing it Thanks to for the show!
