Love, commitment… and a little bit of paperwork! 💍❤️

This article about inheritance tax is a reminder that when you’re living together, being in a committed relationship doesn’t always give you the same legal protections as being married.

Now, I’m a wedding photographer, not a solicitor! 😂 So please do your own research and take proper legal advice about your individual circumstances.

But if you’ve been saying “We don’t need to get married, we’re perfectly happy as we are”… perhaps it’s worth having that conversation. Marriage can have important legal and financial implications, including around inheritance and tax.

And if that conversation ends with “Right then… let’s get married!” — well, that’s where I come in. 😉

Whether it’s a huge celebration, a tiny intimate ceremony or something beautifully simple, I’d love to capture the moments that make it your wedding.

✨ A little preview of Amy & Issac’s special day… ✨

Yesterday was all about love, laughter and celebrating Amy & Issac as they said “I do” at Newcastle City Council Civic Centre. 💍❤️

It was extra special for me to be part of their day because I’ve had the pleasure of photographing so many of their family occasions over the years. To be invited back to capture another really important family milestone is something I absolutely love. ❤️📸

After the ceremony, the celebrations continued in the garden surrounded by family and friends — and there was certainly plenty of laughter! 🌿🥂😂

I love being the photographer who gets to watch families grow, celebrate their milestones and capture those moments that become memories for years to come.
